> 07/09/12 WWE Monday Night RAW Results : WM28 Rematch

Crazy, stupid love.

Six nights before Money-in-the-Bank and two weeks before the 1,000th episode of RAW, the 998th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW came to you, live, from the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO. After her shocking actions on last week’s RAW when she shoved WWE Champion CM Punk off of the top rope, who fell on Daniel Bryan before both men crashed through a table, what will the Special Referee for the WWE Championship match at Money-in-the-Bank, A.J., have in store for both Superstars on RAW? Also, with a contract for a guaranteed shot at the WWE Championship on the line in the WWE Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, what will go down between John Cena, Kane, Big Show, and Chris Jericho as the four former champions prepare for the dangerous and exciting match? With no announcement made, the world is left wondering, just who will be the Interim General Manager of this week’s RAW? After legends like Vader, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Sycho Sid, Doink, and Diamond Dallas Page have re-emerged for special appearances on RAW over the last few weeks, what past RAW Superstar will appear in celebration of the upcoming 1,000th episode of RAW?

Detailed Results

After sending both CM Punk and Daniel Bryan through a table on last week’s RAW and locking lips with both the champion and challenger on last week’s Super SmackDown Live, RAW kicks off with the Special Referee for the WWE Championship match at Money-in-the-Bank, A.J. The unhinged Diva says that being the Special Referee means that she can “greatly affect the outcome” of the title match and the thought of that is “overwhelming” and “emotional”. A.J. then introduces WWE Champion CM Punk, who makes his way to the ring. The WWE Champion asks A.J. what she wants and A.J. says that Punk showed his true feelings for her on SmackDown when he suggested that she needs professional help. A.J. then disputes that she does not need any professional help because she has full control of all her “mental faculties”. An emotional A.J. continues that no one has ever cared about her, much less showed “compassion and concern” like Punk did and, when she kissed him, she knew it and she knew what she had to do. A.J. says that Punk’s eyes send love straight into her heart and he fills her with “passion” and “desire”, saying that the WWE Champion turns her “on”. A.J. then says that she now knows what she “has to do” before the unbalanced Diva gets down on bended knee and asks CM Punk to marry her!

Before a shocked and confused CM Punk can respond, Daniel Bryan rushes out, shouting “no”, saying that he cannot allow A.J. to make the “biggest mistake” of her life. Bryan accuses Punk of “playing” A.J. since A.J. is the Special Referee for their title match, saying that he has “never stopped caring” for A.J. and Punk only cares about himself. The WWE Champion says that Bryan knows nothing about him and he certainly knows nothing about how he feels about A.J. Bryan then dares CM Punk to say “I do” and claims that, while Punk sees A.J. as a Special Referee, he sees her as a “special person”. Things then continue to get more bizarre as Daniel Bryan says that he woke up this morning and had the same plan as A.J. before Bryan gets down on one knee and proposes to A.J.! Punk calls Bryan’s bluff, saying that Bryan does not even have a ring before telling A.J. that the two of them should talk about things in the back, but Bryan tells Punk not to “talk down” to his “future fiancĂ©e”. A familiar but long absent sound then rings throughout the arena before Michael Cole gets up from his seat and reveals that he has just received an email from the anonymous RAW General Manager! Cole then unveils the anonymous GM’s laptop stand, reading the GM’s email that reveals that he/she is running RAW this week before the anonymous GM announces the main event as WWE Champion CM Punk will team with A.J. to face Daniel Bryan and Eve in a Mixed Tag Match! Bryan says that he should get to team with A.J., but the GM stands by his decision. After hearing this news, A.J. says that she is really happy to have the match because she believes that “everything happens for a reason”, vowing to walk out of the arena tonight with her “future husband”!

After a vicious attack with the hood of a car by Alberto Del Rio on last week’s Super SmackDown Live, an angry Sheamus was in action on RAW as the World Heavyweight Champion went one-on-one with “The All-American American” Jack Swagger in a non-title match. Sheamus makes quick work of Jack Swagger, blasting Swagger with the Brogue Kick en route to picking up the win. After the match, Alberto Del Rio appears on the Titan Tron, saying that, last week, he did to Sheamus what no man has ever done by assaulting Sheamus and leaving him in a heap and, this Sunday at Money-in-the-Bank, he will take the World Heavyweight Title from Sheamus. The World Heavyweight Champion responds to this by hitting a second Brogue Kick on Jack Swagger!

It was announced during RAW that the one and only “People’s Champion” The Rock will be a part of the gigantic 1,000th episode of RAW spectacular in two weeks, joining other huge stars such as Brock Lesnar and D-Generation X!

With Vickie Guerrero a guest on commentary, four of the seven participants in the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match faced off in tag team action as Intercontinental Champion Christian teams with Tyson Kidd to face Dolph Ziggler & Tensai. In the end, it was Tensai hitting the Tenson on Christian en route to picking up the win. After the match, Tensai targets the man who defeated him last week, Tyson Kidd, as Tensai tosses Kidd into the ringside barricade before powerbombing Kidd on the ring apron and hitting the Tenson on Kidd on the floor, much to the impression of Vickie Guerrero!

An argument between Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler at the announce table over who should be the permanent General Manager leads to Cole inadvertently splashing water all over the Hall of Famer. The anonymous GM then chimes in with an email that Cole refuses to read, but Lawler does read it, revealing that “The King” will go one-on-one with Michael Cole in a WrestleMania Rematch! After Cole protests, demanding that the anonymous GM change the match, the GM leaves it to the WWE fans to make the call as the GM tells the fans to go to WWE.com and vote for whether or not they want to see Cole face Lawler.

“The Funkasaurus” was in action on RAW as Brodus Clay went one-on-one with Drew McIntyre. Brodus makes quick work of the former Intercontinental Champion as Brodus hits the Funkasplash on Drew McIntyre en route to picking up the win.

Before he joins Big Show, Kane, and Chris Jericho in the WWE Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match at Money-in-the-Bank, John Cena appears on RAW. Cena says that the Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match is a “brutal, punishing match”, but yields an incomparable opportunity at the WWE Title. Cena continues that anyone can become “ruthless” when vying for the contract, saying that every Superstar who has won the Money-in-the-Bank briefcase has gone on to win the WWE or World Heavyweight Title. Cena re-iterates that, at Money-in-the-Bank, he promises to stop Big Show and he will do whatever he has to do to become the next “Mr. Money-in-the-Bank”, promising victory in the four-man Ladder Match.

Six nights before they go to war in the WWE Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match, John Cena would team with his former rival, “The Big Red Monster” Kane to face the former tag team partners, Chris Jericho and “The World’s Largest Athlete” Big Show! During the match, John Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment on Chris Jericho, but Big Show pulls John Cena out of the ring and hurls him into the barricade before Show takes Kane down, as well. With the match out of control, the referee calls for the bell. After the match, Big Show slides two steel ladders into the ring before Show drives a ladder into the chest of Kane, as well as Chris Jericho. Show then drags Jericho over to a ladder and lays Jericho in the middle of the ladder, using the ladder to sandwich Jericho between the layers of steel! Cena then makes the save, using a ladder to send Big Show careening out of the ring!

It was revealed on RAW that one more Superstar will be added to the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match and a Money-in-the-Bank Qualifying Match determined the eighth Superstar in the match as Sin Cara went one-on-one with Heath Slater. In the end, it was Sin Cara hitting the Cara Go-Round en route to picking up the win to join Damien Sandow, Tyson Kidd, Christian, Santino Marella, Tensai, Cody Rhodes, and Dolph Ziggler in the World Heavyweight Championship Contract Money-in-the-Bank Ladder Match.

After the match, a frustrated Heath Slater demands that any former champion come out there and he will beat them, but the former champion that Slater got was none other than the second-longest reigning WWE Champion in history, Bob Backlund! Despite Slater’s best efforts to embarrass the professional and collegiate champion, Backlund would lock in the Crossface Chicken Wing on Slater, forcing the brash Superstar to tap out!

Despite Michael Cole’s begging, the WWE fans would unanimously vote that they wanted to see the WrestleMania Rematch between Michael Cole and Jerry “The King” Lawler and, with Booker T and Josh Mathews on commentary, the match would take place. Early on, Michael Cole tries to escape the ring, but Booker T tosses Cole back in and, shortly after this, “The King” sends Cole for the ride with a classic Airplane Spin before pinning Cole for the win. After the match, in a scene very similar to that of WrestleMania last year, the anonymous RAW General Manager chimes in and, due to Booker T’s interference, awards the match to Michael Cole via disqualification. Santino Marella then comes out and, with the help of Jerry Lawler, gets Hornswoggle from under the ring as Hornswoggle is revealed as the anonymous GM and Hornswoggle kicks Lawler and Cole in their shins before escaping the ring.

Then it was time for the main event as WWE Champion CM Punk teams with A.J. to face the team of the #1 Contender for the WWE Title, Daniel Bryan, and former Executive Administrator, Eve, in a Mixed Tag Match. During the match, Daniel Bryan refuses to take the tag from Eve, which leads to A.J. rolling Eve up to pick up the win for herself and CM Punk. After the match, Daniel Bryan tells A.J. that he just proved that she means more to him than a match before saying that they should leave and go get married. Before A.J. makes a decision, CM Punk says that Daniel Bryan just wants to curry favor with A.J. so she will help him become the WWE Champion. Punk then says that he does not care if what he is about to say costs him the WWE Title before Punk says that he does not want to marry A.J., saying that at least he cares enough about A.J. to tell her the truth. A.J. responds by slapping the WWE Champion across the face, which puts a big smile on the face of Daniel Bryan, but A.J. slaps Bryan across the face as well! A.J. then leaves the ring, chanting “yes”, again leaving everyone in a state of bewilderment.

SmackDown! Result » July 3 2012 (The Great American Bash Special Live Edition)

Before the opening video, they had a backstage party segment.  Among the party guests were Alicia Fox, Usos, Hornswoggle, Primo, Epico, Rosa Mendes, Kaitlyn, Tamina and Yoshi Tatsu. Teddy Long came in to welcome everyone to Great American Bash, then they showed Eve wearing a big name tag.  He said she's volunteered to clean up afterwords tonight.  Teddy introduced Santino, who went to light up the BBQ grill, but Kane showed up and made the grill fire start up.

They showed footage of Alberto Del Rio destroying Sin Cara on Raw this past Monday.  Del Rio came out to start the show after the commentators hyped up tonight's 20-man battle royal, and a Michael Cole interview with AJ Lee.  Del Rio started calling the fans peasants just like Sheamus.  He asked one fan for his papers, then called a little kid a little alien.  He goes after one guy, asking security to get rid of him.  Sheamus comes out and they start to go at it.  Eventually, Ricardo Rodriguez helps ADR doubleteam Sheamus.  Ricardo pops the hood of ADR's fancy car near the ramp, and Del Rio smashes it onto Sheamus' back several times, to leave him laying on the floor.

Great Khali and Layla defeated Antonio Cesaro and Aksana by pinfall.  Late in this one, Khali started to dominate Cesaro, so he made a tag to Aksana to get out.  Layla tagged in and tackled Aksana down.  The two divas rolled around a bit fighting.  Layla smacks Aksana on the backside before slamming her and getting a near fall.  Cesaro came in to break up the pin, but that brought Khali in to toss him out of the ring.  Layla and Aksana grapple a bit more, before Layla manages to score a winning pin.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes told Teddy Long the board is allowing him to compete in another MITB qualifying match this week.  Teddy said he gets to pick the opponent and it won't be someone who is trying to qualify.

Cody Rhodes defeated Christian by pinfall to qualify for the (World Heavyweight Championship contract) MITB match.  Late in the match, Rhodes undid the corner turnbuckle cover but the ref went over to stop him.  Christian hit a reverse DDT on Rhodes for a near fall.  Moments later, he went for a Spear, but Rhodes caught him with a kick, but then missed on Beautiful Disaster.  Christian went for Killswitch, but Rhodes countered with Cross Rhodes for the win.

The World Championship contract edition of the MITB match now will have Tyson Kidd, Christian, Damien Sandow, Santino Marella, Cody Rhodes, and Lord Tensai.

Backstage, they showed more of the BBQ party.  Zack Ryder went over and told Teddy the party is sick.  Ryder asked to take over DJing the event.  Teddy told him to go ahead.  Heath Slater came over saying nobody wants to hear that and started singing his "one man band" song.  Everyone started throwing stuff at him so he left.  Ryder went over and pressed a button on a laptop and it started playing Brodus Clay's theme song.  Clay showed up with his two dancers, and everyone joined them for a group dance session.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Alex Riley by pinfall to qualify for the MITB match.  Cole incorrectly said if Alex Riley were to win this one he has no experience in MITB.  Riley competed in the 2011 Raw MITB match which Alberto Del Rio won.  In this match, Riley had several near falls.  After one of them, Ziggler rolled onto the apron, with A-Ry going over to grab him from inside the ring.  Dolph dropped him down neck first against the top rope, then slid back in the ring and hit the Zig Zag for the quick win.  Ziggler hs competed in MITB matches in 2010 and 2011.

Michael Cole conducted an interview with WWE diva AJ Lee in the ring.  Cole referred to AJ as anything but balanced lately.  AJ tried to respond, but Cole cut her off and had footage shown from Raw with AJ's interactions involving Bryan and Punk.  At the end of Raw she shoved them both through a table outside the ring during their match.

After the footage, Cole said it appeared AJ wasn't thinking and she switches allegiances on a dime.  Cole said the WWE Board has made a big mistake to make AJ special referee at MITB.  Cole suggested that maybe AJ should pursue a real man, one with power and influence, maybe a former war correspondent turned "voice of the WWE."  As Cole was offering himself up, Daniel Bryan's music hit and he came to the ring holding his left arm.  Bryan called Cole a sexist, emotionally abusive bully.  He said Cole is like the rest of the media, just making up news and putting words in people's mouths.  Bryan continued trying to butter up AJ with his compliments about her as special ref.

Bryan kept going on with the compliments, until Punk's music hit and the WWE champ came to the ring to interject.  Punk kicked Cole out of the ring saying this has nothing to do with him.  Punk said he's not going to be like Bryan and kiss up, but he's going to be blunt.  He told AJ she's not in a good place mentally, and maybe it's partly his fault.  He suggested she get professional help which drew a look of upset on her face.  Punk said he's not going to lie to AJ and toy with her emotions.

Bryan cut in and said Punk is pretending he's concerned, but he only cares that she's the special referee.  Punk went after Bryan but AJ got in between them.  She looked at Bryan, then planted a big kiss on h im in front of Punk.  Punk left the ring looking confused, but then AJ jumped out of the ring, spun him around b the arm, and planted a big kiss on him.  After she finished, she skipped up the ramp as her music played and both Bryan/Punk were shocked.

US Champion Santino came to the ring and then introduced his two tag team partners - Sgt. Slaughter and Hacksaw Jim Duggan, who each arrived out seperately.  Their opponents - Drew McIntyre, Hunico and Camacho.

Santino Marella, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter defeated Hunico, Camacho, and Drew McIntyre by pinfall in a six-man tag team match.  Late in the match, there was a pinfall broken up by the heels, with all wrestlers getting involved in the ring.  Sarge took out Drew and Camacho.  Hunico who thought he had control on Hacksaw, ran into an elbow in the corner.  Duggan made the tag to Santino who pulled out his Cobra sock and hit the punch move for the win.

They had a backstage segment with Damien Sandow showing up to pull the plug on the party music, causing an uproar by all the divas and superstars there.  Ryder got in his face and called him bro, with Sandow saying he's not his brother in any way.  Ryder suggested Sandow should just leave.  Sandow looked like he was about to, but then punched Ryder and the two started to fight.  Ryder gained the upperhand, knocking Sandow to the ground.  Ryder then picked up a bowl of punch and tried to throw it on Sandow, who ducked, so Eve was the recipient of all the punch.  Teddy Long laughed about it and said "This is my kinda party" as Eve stormed off.

Ryback defeated Curt Hawkins via pinfall.  Reks and Hawkins were in the ring.  Reks said they had a coin flip about which of them could beat Ryback and Hawkins won it.  Matthews said Ryback's undefeated in WWE (as Ryback, not Skip Sheffield).  As usual, Ryback dominated from the start.  At one point, Hawkins avoided Ryback in the corner, but was caught by a huge clothesline and then his feat of strength backdrop finisher.  Matthews said Ryback chants "Feed me more" after he wins because in WWE it's "eat or be eaten."

The commentators reviewed what happened earlier between Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio at the top of the stage near ADR's fancy car.

The commentators hyped up a Great American Bash 20-Man Battle Royal featuring Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater, Jack Swagger, Zack Ryder, Cody Rhodes, Lord Tensai, Brodus Clay, Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow, Kofi Kingston, Great Khali, Kane, Christian, Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, John Cena, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Santino Marella and Big Show.  The winner gets to be General Manager for Smackdown next week.

Late in this one, it was down to about 10 or less guys.  Tensai, Ziggler and Del Rio triple-teamed Cena in the corner, but he battled back and dropped them all, getting the crowd excited.  Cena managed to toss Del Rio out then did the AA on Kane.  Tensai kicked Cena and tried to toss him out, but Cena powered his way out and backflipped Tensai.  However, Big Show walked up behind Cena and dumped him out of the ring.  Ryder tried to take down Show but got speared.  Christian jumped off the corner at him, but got caught by Show and dropped out of the ring.  Show then looked at his handiwork near the ropes, and Ziggler jumped on his back with a sleeper hold.  Kane went over and shoved Show over the top rope, eliminating both guys.

It came down to Kane vs. Ryder, with the Big Red Monster dominating as he stomped on Zack in the corner.  He got Zack on his shoulder but Ryder slid off.  However, Kane hit a big boot to drop him again.  Moments later, Ryder executed a drop toe hold and sent Kane into the corner, then hit a Broski Boot.  He set up for Rough Ryder, but Kane caught him for a chokeslam.  Ryder slipped out of it and went towards the ropes.  Kane rushed at him, but Ryder dropped down, holding the rope down for Kane to fall out.  Zack Ryder won the 20-man Great American Bash Battle Royal, and now gets to be the GM for Smackdown next week.

RAW » Result » June 25 2012 (Return Of Psycho Sid & Chris Jericho

They show AJ backstage supposedly meeting with Kane, Punk and Bryan.  She says she needs to drift apart from Bryan, loses all inhibitions with Kane, and wants to be Punk's soulmate, but isn't sure what he wants.  She says maybe they should all go their separate ways.  The camera shows that AJ is talking to herself in a mirror.

Daniel Bryan defeated CM Punk (and Kane) by pinfall in a triple threat non-title match.  Late in the match, AJ arrived out just as Kane was going to chokeslam Punk.  She starts skipping around the ring as a distraction.  Punk slides out of Kane's chokeslam attempt, then hits GTS to eliminate Kane.  Moments later, Bryan delivers a big kick to Punk's head to cover him for the win.

They had a backstage segment with Del Rio walking in along with Ricardo Rodriguez to visit Vickie Guerrero.  Dolph Ziggler shows up asking for another shot at Sheamus for the World title.  Vickie says she's arranged a #1 contender's match with a contract attached to a pole.  First man to grab it, gets to face Sheamus on Smackdown.  Ziggler gets irate and smashes the vase of flowers that Ricardo brought to Vickie.

Big Show defeated Brodus Clay by pinfall.  Show targeted Clay's already-injured leg in this match, including smashing his leg against the ring post.  At one point, Show hits a splash from the second turnbuckle area.  Clay started to fight back with headbutts when Show went for a KO punch.  Clay tries to do a scoop slam on Show, but his hurt leg gives out, and Show falls on top of him for a pinfall.  Post-match, Clay's dancers and trainers checked on Brodus' knee in the ring.

After showing video footage of the Triple H and Paul Heyman incidents, they announce that Brock Lesnar will have his official answer for Triple H's SummerSlam challenge, next week on Raw.

They had a backstage segment with AJ and Kane talking about relationships.  Kane tells AJ he's not boyfriend material and enjoys eviscerating people.  He says he finds AJ mentally unstable and it's best if they stay away from one another.  He tells her goodbye and walks off.  AJ begins going crazy, smiling, then crying.

Santino Marella defeated Jack Swagger by pinfall to retain the US Championship.  The match was Santino's first Raw title defense since April.  In the end, he makes a comeback against Swagger after a powerslam.  Santino goes through his moves including the hip toss and a diving headbutt, before pulling out the Cobra.  Swagger grabbed Santino, but Marella countered into a DDT, and then hit the Cobra punch to win.

John Cena arrived out to make a big announcement, but got interrupted by Chris Jericho.  Jericho told Cena to make his big announcement, then get the hell of out his ring.  Cena said he plans to stop Big Show from winning MITB, and so he'll enter the match for his first time ever.  Jericho laughs it off, since Cena has no experience in this "career ending" match.  Jericho says he's entering as well.  Vickie Guerrero comes out and says there will be two MITB matches, one for a WWE Title contract and other for a World Title contract.  Vickie says Cena, Jericho, Show and Kane will compete in the WWE title opportunity MITB match, since it's only for former WWE champions.

Psycho Sid (Sid Vicious) defeated Heath Slater by pinfall.  Sid was the latest legend who came to Raw in anticipation/celebration of the upcoming 1000th Raw.  He defeated Slater with a big leg drop followed by a Powerbomb late in the match.

Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio fought to no contest in a #1 Contender's match for the World Heavyweight Title.  The object of the match was to retrieve a contract hanging from a pole in the ring corner.  At one point, the two men fought near the corner with the contract falling to the floor.  They kept fighting to get it, but it kept falling out of their reach.  Eventually, Sheamus comes out to say they'll both be facing him on Smackdown this Friday in a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Title.

AJ Lee won a Divas Beach Bikini Battle Royal.  The match included Layla, Tamina, Alicia, Rosa, Kaitlyn, Beth Phoenix and AJ.  Vickie Guerrero arrives out and puts herself in the match too.  Late in the match it came down to Layla, AJ and Vickie Guerrero.  Layla gets eliminated, then Vickie tries to toss AJ out.  AJ hangs on, then Vickie turns to see AJ smiling.  Vickie shoves her, but AJ starts up a big fight, and eventually kicks Vickie out of the ring to win it.  AJ does the Daniel Bryan "YES!" chants to celebrate her win.

John Cena defeated Chris Jericho due to disqualification.  In the late stages, Cena went for Attitude Adjustment, right after Big Show's music hit and he started to walk down the ramp.  Jericho elbowed out and put Cena into Walls of Jericho.  Show got into the ring, ran against the ropes and did a big elbow drop on Cena, causing a DQ.  He stared at Jericho, who allowed Show to take over, and left the ring.  Show delivered a KO punch on Cena, then locked him into a chinlock hold as Raw was ending.  He finally released it after the ref kept yelling at him, as Raw went off the air.

SmackDown results: The Great White and Big Red Monster triumphed, as AJ “hammered” the competition

The gigantic Superstar was soon engaged by Brodus Clay. Although The Funkasaurus held his own against the nearly impenetrable giant, a sudden sneak attack from behind by David Otunga allowed Big Show to gain a decisive advantage – before finishing off the target of his rage with the WMD.

As the smoke cleared, Otunga added insult to injury, dancing and posing over Brodus to the big man’s own music.

WWE’s resident Cougar revealed to Mick Foley that she would be taking the temporary reins of both Raw and SmackDown next week, warning him that she might look to make him her assistant if he didn’t behave. However, the amused Hardcore Legend had a much “bigger” suggestion about who should be Guerrero’s assistant, The Great Khali.

As a result of missing his World Heavyweight Title opportunity at No Way Out due to a concussion – and with John Laurinaitis getting fired at the same event – Alberto Del Rio returned to SmackDown looking to once again work his way back to the top. That quest would set him on a collision course with Christian.

In the height of the fast-paced battle that followed, a distraction by Ricardo Rodriguez allowed Del Rio to catch Captain Charisma on the top rope with a fierce kick, setting up the Cross Armbreaker and a huge victory for The Mexican Aristocrat.

Moments after the bell, Cody Rhodes – who Christian successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against in their explosive pay-per-view rematch five days earlier – attacked his war torn adversary from behind. In an absolute frenzy, Rhodes hurled the titleholder into the steel ring post, dropping him to the canvas before accusing his foe of “stealing [his] time” and that he himself “was SmackDown.”

For months, AJ has been involved in an out-of-control rollercoaster ride with CM Punk, Kane and Daniel Bryan. (WATCH)

This week on SmackDown, the off-the-wall Diva would serve as a surprise special guest timekeeper as Kane took on Bryan. In the height of the action that followed – after the submission specialist cinched in the “Yes!” Lock on The Big Red Monster – AJ suddenly rang the bell. This caused Bryan to release the hold, thinking his monstrous opponent tapped out.

But much to Bryan’s chagrin, the referee explained that the masked menace hadn’t, in fact, given in and that the match was still going. Before WWE’s “Yes!” man could get his bearings, The Devil’s Favorite Demon roared back, hitting the chokeslam for the three count.

And just as quickly as the match ended, a guiltless AJ skipped away again like nothing out of the ordinary had happened at all.

(WATCH | PHOTOS)
An irate Health Slater decided to interrupt Mick Foley in the ring, lodging a protest after getting slammed over the head by Cyndi Lauper on Monday’s Raw SuperShow. Demanding the GM do something about it, The Hardcore Legend took immediate action by introducing The One Man Southern Rock Band to his opponent, Zack Ryder.

With Foley watching at ringside, Long Island Iced-Z soundly defeated Slater with the Rough Ryder leg drop.

Later in the back, the self-professed “Intellectual Savior of the Unwashed Masses” Damien Sandow looked to enlighten Foley and Ryder. (WATCH)

(WATCH | PHOTOS)
Continuing to make big moves in a big way, A.W. returned to SmackDown to lead his new tag team – The Prime Time Players – to the ring. This occurred just five days after he turned on Primo & Epico at No Way Out in favor of his new acquisition.

In O’Neil & Young’s high-octane match with The Usos, the head of All World Promotions would cause a crucial distraction by jumping on the apron and admonishing the referee. This allowed Darren Young to drop Jimmy Uso onto the top rope, setting up his “Real Deal” partner to hurl his foe to the canvas for the pin.

Shortly after the match, the casted-aside Primo & Epico attacked their former representative and his new clients in the back. (WATCH)

(WATCH | PHOTOS)
Santino emerged before the WWE Universe, charged up to honor the many WWE signs made by the creative Baltimore crowd. And when the cameras found one that read “I love Santino,” The Italian Stallion called the woman down to say hi.

The ecstatic fan made her way to the ring, wearing a cobra of her own on her arm. But, after the two cobras kissed at the suggestion of Santino, the woman grabbed hold of the U.S. Champion, giving him a huge kiss and causing him to faint backward to the canvas with lipstick all over him.

(WATCH | PHOTOS)
In SmackDown’s main event, Dolph Ziggler entered his No Way Out rematch against World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, looking to build on the incredible challenge he gave the Irish Superstar at Sunday’s pay-per-view.

Mixing undeniable talent with unrelenting heart, desire and determination, The Showoff brought The Great White to the brink yet again, nearly scoring the victory at several turns.

Still, in the end, it was not enough the stop The Celtic Warrior, who blasted Ziggler with a fierce Brogue Kick out of nowhere to capture another triumph in epic fashion.

WWE Raw SuperShow results: John Laurinaitis given a very painful farewell by John Cena

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – It's a brave, new world for Raw, and it's one without John Laurinaitis. The former General Manager of Raw and SmackDown was fired by Mr. McMahon at No Way Out, then given a painful farewell by John Cena on Raw SuperShow after Big Show and David Otunga both abandoned him. Replacing Big Johnny for this week as Interim General Manager was none other than Mick Foley, and the WWE Legend quickly made an impact with his savvy matchmaking. Also on Raw, find out what Brock Lesnar's representative Paul Heyman did to make WWE COO Triple H knock him out cold!

Mick Foley named Interim General Manager for Raw and SmackDown this week
Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy is back! After receiving a warm ovation from the Nassau Coliseum crowd, Long Island, N.Y.'s own Mick Foley said he received an invite from the Board of Directors to host both Raw and SmackDown this week as WWE evaluates who will run the shows after John Laurinaitis' firing. With his first act as the guest General Manager, Foley revealed WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus would face Daniel Bryan and Kane in a tag team match tonight. (PHOTOS | WATCH: MICK FOLEY VIDEOS)

Laurinaitis came out to make his farewell address, but was promptly greeted by chants of "You got fired!" by the WWE Universe. When he tried to make his formal introduction, the vocal WWE fans gave Big Johnny an earful of boos, to which he yelled at them to shut up and stop being rude.

Saying he would make his farewell address later, Laurinaitis announced that as his final act as General Manager, he made a 3-on-1 Handicap Match for tonight's Raw, pitting him, Big Show and David Otunga against John Cena – his "parting gift" to the Cenation leader and the WWE Universe.

Alberto Del Rio was full of fire after missing out on an opportunity to face Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Title at No Way Out due to a concussion. After U.S. Champion Santino Marella weakened The Mexican Aristocrat, he reached for The Cobra and prepared to strike, but Del Rio drilled The Milan Miracle with a head-snapping enzuigiri and locked on the Cross Armbreaker to make him tap out. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)

Ricardo Rodriguez, clearly still miffed after losing his Tuxedo Match to Marella at No Way Out, added insult to injury by inflicting further punishment on Santino's arm following the bout.

Brock Lesnar's representative Paul Heyman told the WWE Universe that Brock will not agree to fight Triple H at SummerSlam and he will not drop his lawsuit against WWE. Before Heyman could get far into his diatribe, Triple H came out to the ring and said Brock will agree to fight The Game because the WWE COO can give him what he wants. Showing off a mock poster of SummerSlam with Lesnar on it, Triple H played up to the behemoth's apparent ego and claimed Brock can either fight him at SummerSlam or go down as the man who was too scared to fight The King of Kings. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)

Heyman quickly denied Triple H's claims and even dared the fuming WWE COO to hit him. After saying he didn't have anything for Triple H, but had something for Stephanie, Triple H's wife, The Game ferociously grabbed Heyman by the tie and cut off his airflow.

After Triple H let him go, Heyman said he sees everything The Cerebral Assassin does from a mile away. The Game responded by knocking Heyman out cold as the crowd erupted. As Brock's representative laid unconscious on the canvas, The King of Kings left him with some final bold words: "You tell Brock Lesnar I will see him at SummerSlam ... that is, unless he's afraid the same thing will happen to him."

Kane and Daniel Bryan let out their frustrations on WWE Champion CM Punk after winding up on the losing end of a Triple Threat Match at No Way Out. Bryan repeatedly whipped Sheamus' midsection with some vicious kicks and The Big Red Monster dished out some punishment of his own. However, the resilient Celtic Warrior hung tough and was able to make the tag when he needed to most. The Straight Edge Superstar laid into Bryan with a brutal running knee at the turnbuckle and followed with a running bulldog, but the submission specialist powered back with a big superplex.

Then, totally out of nowhere, AJ made a jaw-dropping entrance, skipping out to the ring in a Kane mask and matching outfit. After continuing to skip around the ring, AJ made her way back up the entrance ramp, leaving Kane bewildered by her creepy cameo. As The Devil's Favorite Demon wandered off distracted, Punk capitalized with a Go to Sleep and Sheamus nailed Bryan with a crushing Brogue Kick to get the victory.

Divas Champion Layla introduced Grammy Award-winning musician Cyndi Lauper and WWE Hall of Famer Wendi Richter and thanked them for paving the way for the future generation of Divas. In her first appearance in a WWE ring in 27 years, Lauper accompanied the very woman she managed at the very first WrestleMania in Madison Square Garden to the ring. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)

Cyndi told everyone how great it is to be back in WWE alongside her girl Wendi before she was swiftly interrupted by Heath Slater, who began to sing his new single, "The One Man Band," much to the crowd's displeasure. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper made a shocking appearance to put an end to the musical sideshow and told "Ms. Slater" to take a hike.

A visibly emotional "Hot Rod" presented Lauper with a framed gold record on behalf of himself, the late, great Captain Lou Albano and the entire WWE Universe for her contributions. Slater then began to sing again, but Piper countered with a poke to the eyes, followed by Lauper smashing the record over The One Man Southern Rock Band's head.

A.W. proved he's out to protect his No. 1 contenders, regardless of what the WWE Universe thinks of his tactics.

The Prime Time Players had their hands full with Primo & Epico as the former WWE Tag Team Champions took it to the arrogant duo from the get-go. After Primo & Epico hit a double baseball slide on The Prime Time Players and knocked them to the arena floor, A.W. sensed trouble and pulled his clients to safety and completely out of the matchup, resulting in an intentional count-out.

John Laurinaitis refused to make a quiet exit. Sporting a neck brace and crutches, the former General Manager and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations repeatedly called members of the WWE Universe "losers" because they've lost "People Power." After making his entrance, Big Show thanked Laurinaitis for signing him to an ironclad contract and the big, fat bonus, but stated there's no reason The World's Largest Athlete should be in the ring tonight. Big Show then left Laurinaitis and David Otunga high and dry, making it a 2-on-1 Handicap Match against John Cena instead. (PHOTOS | VIDEO)

(READ MORE: WAS BIG SHOW RIGHT TO ABANDON BIG JOHNNY?)

It was all Otunga in the early going as The A-Lister tossed Cena hard into the steel ringside steps and bowled over the Cenation leader with a big running shoulder block. Laurinaitis' farewell match took a turn for the worse, however, after Big Johnny tagged in and started to pile on Cena. It was then that Otunga stunned his old boss by taking a walk, becoming the second Superstar to leave Laurinaitis hanging in the main event.

From there, it was pain on top of humiliating pain for Big Johnny. The Cenation leader hit Laurinaitis with the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and slammed him to the canvas with an Attitude Adjustment, but he wasn't done yet. Pointing to former SmackDown GM Theodore Long, who was sitting ringside, Cena dropped Laurinaitis with another A.A., then a third one for good measure at the cheering fans' request. Finally, Cena put an end to Laurinaitis' misery as he locked on the STF and made him tap out.

It was a farewell address – and beating – that the WWE Universe won't soon forget.
