01/31/2012 Saturday Morning Slam Results (2nd Episode)

We are welcomed to a "signature" edition of Saturday Morning Slam, where we will take a look at the autographs of WWE Superstars, also an exclusive match with The Funkasaurus. Plus, Rey Mysterio will reveal the secret to his signature move: the 619.
First, we start with the top 5 catchphrases of all time in a segment called: Fave Five. (They don't number these or specify the catchphrases but rather show a video montage that "cleverly" segues from one Superstar to another):

The Rock - "If you smell what the Rock is cooking"

Ric Flair - "To be the man, you gotta beat the man" and "Whooo"

The Miz - "Because I'm the Miz and I'm Awesome."

John Cena - "You can't see me."

Stone Cold - "… And that's the bottom line 'cause Stone Cold said so" and "WHAT?"

We run through a history of John Hancock and his signature. Ziggler, Kofi, Miz, Bateman, and Layla talk about what they have been asked to sign, such as dirty shoes, a baby, prosthetic leg, casts, etc.

We go to Pop Quiz with Alex Riley: "On March 26th 2001, who beat Vince McMahon to the punch and signed the dotted line to become the new owner of WCW?" Stephanie, HHH, or Shane?

Brodus Clay vs. Curt Hawkins

Santino is on commentary with Josh Matthews. Clay out-powers Hawkins and does some gyrations. Hawkins wants to prove he's the better dancer so he stops and says to hit the music. When the music doesn't start he begins to "dance" and even attempts the Worm. Clay laughs and hits a shoulderblock. Hawkins escapes to the announce table and Santino scares him with the Cobra. Clay slingshots Hawkins in off the apron and gives him an airplane spin.

- Kofi gives a PSA to not try this at home.

Hawkins goes for the injured leg to take Clay down. Hawkins continues to work the leg. Clay kicks him over the rope and hits a slam on Hawkins' way back in. Santino talks about pancakes to keep with the Saturday morning theme. Clay hits a fisherman's suplex and a splash for the win.

Winner by pin: Brodus Clay

Santino and his Cobra get in the ring to celebrate and dance with the kids and Clay. This goes-on for about a minute. We go to commercial.

Next week we will see Damien Sandow, as Superstars try to match wits with him.

This week's Superstar Spotlight: Rey Mysterio

Rey says "619" is derived from Austin's 3:16 and the area code of San Diego. He then gives us a demonstration from SummerSlam fan Axxess.

WWE No Way Out 2012 Results : Brodus Clay Vs. David Otunga (Youtube Pre-Show)

Brodus Clay defeated David Otunga at No Way Out.EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — If the recent attacks on Brodus Clay had any Superstars thinking that the big man was slipping, they learned during No Way Out’s live Pre-Show Sunday night that The Funkasaurus is a competitor who should not be underestimated. (PHOTOS)

Facing off with David Otunga mere days after the underhanded Harvard grad brutalized Clay in an assault that caused considerable damage to the medial collateral ligament, or MCL, of his knee, the dancing destroyer rallied to beat the litigious competitor by count-out despite only having one leg working in his favor.

It was an inspiring performance by the monster from Planet Funk. On a roll since exploding onto Raw Jan. 9, Clay had the dance floor pulled out from under him when Big Show decimated him in a shocking attack May 28. (WATCH) Sensing an opportunity to take advantage of Clay’s supposed vulnerability, the sleazy Otunga blindsided The Funkasaurus following Brodus’ victory over Heath Slater on June 15’s SmackDown. (WATCH) The focused assault was enough to cause a grade II tear to the super heavyweight’s MCL.

The bum wheel may have stopped a lesser Superstar, but the funky fighter wasn’t about to go out like that. Bravely facing the chiseled lawyer on No Way Out’s free Pre-Show event, Clay suffered trouble early as Otunga wisely targeted the weakened joint with clinical strikes. The barrage nearly buckled the aggressive 375-pounder, but with the WWE Universe and his beautiful Funkadactyls cheering him on, Clay found the adrenaline to force Otunga to the outside of the ring.

Then, in an act that baffled many inside the IZOD Center, the Ivy Leaguer opted not to get back into the squared circle and intentionally lose by count-out. It was unclear whether the move was a cowardly decision on Otunga’s part or a piece of a bigger puzzle, but it hardly mattered to Clay. Overjoyed with his heroic win, The Funkasaurus and his Funkadactyls broke into a dance party, proving that despite a few setbacks, the funk is still on a roll.

No Way Out 2012 » Matches » Brodus Clay vs David Otunga (YouTube PreShow)

Weeks after John Laurinaitis banned him from Raw SuperShow, the hard-hitting Brodus Clay will have a chance to take out his frustrations on the Raw and SmackDown General Manager’s right-hand man, David Otunga, at the free No Way Out Pre-Show Sunday. The Pre-Show event will stream live on YouTube.com/WWE, Facebook and WWE.com, starting at 7:30 ET/4:30 PT.
Despite the temptation to play up the humorous juxtaposition of Planet Funk vs. Harvard Law and boogie vs. the bowtie, the ill will between Clay and anybody associated with “People Power” is far from a laughing matter. On the May 28 Raw SuperShow, Laurinaitis’ “angry giant” ally, Big Show, demolished Clay before their scheduled match could get underway. During his rampage of destruction, Show speared The Funkasaurus outside the ring before repeatedly smashing his victim’s back with a piece of wood from the broadcast table.
It was with that scene in mind that Laurinaitis decided to move Clay to SmackDown and make him a permanent member of the blue brand’s roster. According to the GM, the move was intended to “protect” Clay from further attacks by The World’s Largest Athlete. The ban from Raw, however, has only served to infuriate The Funkasaurus, who vowed to treat all future opponents as though they are Big Show.
The once-jovial heavyweight in b-boy gear wasted no time showing his newfound mean streak, decimating an overmatched Derrick Bateman on last week’s SmackDown. As Clay tore through his opponent, announcer Michael Cole described Show’s May 28 attack as a “wakeup call” for The Funkasaurus.

Though Clay has already warned that he will be envisioning Big Show across the ring each time he enters the squared circle, one must wonder if Otunga is in for an even graver showdown, considering his close affiliation with Laurinaitis and Show. Clay’s upped intensity, however, does not necessarily mean that he will be able to cruise through the cagey Otunga.
The travel mug-carrying attorney has suffered several in-ring setbacks of late, but they’ve come against main event competition the likes of John Cena and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. While Otunga will clearly be outsized by Clay, the former Tag Team Champion has proven time and time again to be a cunning competitor.
Who will walk out of the No Way Out Pre-Show the victor? Will The Funkasaurus, in pursuit of a return to Raw and a match against Show, continue to chomp through opponents, or can Otunga use Clay’s inexperience and perhaps unfocused anger against him? The fate will be known Sunday.
