>> 08/27/2012 Raw results: CM Punk battered Lawler in a Steel Cage Match; to face Cena at Night of Champions


- Tonight’s WWE RAW opens with a look back at CM Punk and John Cena from last week where Cena issued the challenge for Night of Champions. We see Punk’s attack on Jerry Lawler.

- After the RAW intro video, we’re live from the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW and he’s joined by Jerry Lawler. Cole talks about CM Punk attacking Lawler. Lawler takes off his headset and enters the ring.

Lawler talks about what he said at the end of RAW 1000 about Punk. Lawler says he misspoke. Lawler says he apologized to Punk last week but this week, he’s the one who wants the apology. Lawler waits as the crowd chants for Punk. The music finally hits and out comes the WWE Champion.

Punk can’t believe that Lawler wants the WWE Champion to apologize for doing his job. Punk says he didn’t turn his back on anybody and beat the crap out of The Rock because he deserved it. Punk says Lawler turned his back on WWE when he slandered the champion. Punk says he kicked Lawler in his stupid head last week because of his lack of respect. Punk says that’s what he does. He will put down anyone who disrespects him. Punk says he is sorry. He’s sorry that all it takes to get into the WWE Hall of Fame is to beat a bunch of nobodies from Memphis and get in a slapstick with a Hollywood comedian. Punk rips into Lawler some more. Punk says Lawler is jealous because he’s never been WWE Champion. Punk says Lawler finally got his WrestleMania moment and couldn’t beat Michael Cole. Punk goes on and says he’s sorry about the man Lawler has become.

Punk taunts Lawler now and asks him if he wants to fight. Punk says Lawler is just a commentator while he’s the best in the world. Punk says he would embarrass Lawler. Lawler says he came out here for an apology, not a fight. Punk taunts him some more. Punk promises one thing – Lawler will leave embarrassed tonight, either because Punk does it or because he backed down from a fight. Punk tells Lawler to think about it and leaves the ring talking about respect. Lawler says he will think about it and heads back to the announce table. We go to commercial.

Ryback vs. Jack Swagger

Back from the break and Jack Swagger waits in the ring. Out next comes his opponent Ryback.

The bell rings and they go at it. Ryback with a big boot and down goes Swagger. Ryback slams his head on the mat a few times and then slams him on his face. Swagger drop toe holds Ryback and takes him down with a shoulder. Swagger slams Ryback and yells at him. Ryback blocks the Swagger Bomb in the corner and the ankle lock. Ryback takes Swagger to the corner and unloads on him. Ryback drops Swagger on top of his head and works him over on the mat.

Ryback starts the “Feed Me More” chants and hits a big clothesline. Ryback scoops Swagger for Shellshocked and the win.

Winner: Ryback

- Cole speculates on Triple H, who will speak later tonight. Also tonight, John Cena vs. The Miz in singles action. Lawler says he’s still thinking about facing Punk as we go back to commercial.

Natalya vs. Layla

Back from the break and Natalya waits in the ring as WWE Divas Champion Layla makes her way out for a non-title match.

We get a look back at last week where Kaitlyn became the new #1 contender. Before the match can begin, Vickie Guerrero comes out. She says the match needs to be over quickly because she has an important announcement. The bell rings and here we go as Vickie screams some more. They lock up and go to the mat while Vickie watches from the steel steps.

More back and forth action. 2 count for Layla. Layla with a crossbody from the corner for another pin attempt. Layla slams Natalya on the back of her head and hits her with the butt bump. Natalya goes to the floor and catches Layla’s dropkick with the apron. Layla gets tangled in the apron and Natalya works her over. They come back in and she knocks Layla with a shot from behind. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter but it’s blocked. Natalya comes back in and they go at it. Layla with another roll up. Layla with the kick to the back of the head for the win.

Winner: Layla

- After the match, Vickie comes in the ring and tells Layla to be gone. Layla stares her down before exiting the ring. Vickie talks about AJ Lee making the Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler match at last week’s RAW where Jericho had his contract terminated. Vickie isn’t happy about the stipulation of Ziggler’s contract being on the line. Vickie calls it an abuse of power and says it’s unfair. She says nobody on the roster has the guts to speak up to the General Manager except her. Vickie tells the Board of Directors that it’s time to put RAW back in the hands of an adult, someone like her. Not some mentally deranged child like AJ, she says. AJ’s music hits and out she comes.

AJ is all smiles until she smacks Vickie out of nowhere. AJ tackles Vickie and they go at it. Vickie escapes and runs away while AJ looks on and goes back to smiling.

- Cole and Lawler go back to talking about Triple H. We get a video package of Triple H’s days with DX.

- Back from the break and we see footage from last week where Daniel Bryan is in an anger management class. Bryan raises his hand and says he doesn’t have issues like the rest of the losers here. A little kid comes in wearing a goat mask and Bryan gets upset. Bryan says he is handsome and wonders who set this up. Bryan calls the kid a brat and yells at him to take the mask off. It turns out the kid is the teachers kid and is playing a goat in his school play.

- Cole looks at some tweets from actor Dominic Monaghan, tonight’s Social Media Ambassador and star of WWE Studios’ The Day. Cole also shows a tweet from CM Punk where he says he will let Lawler have the first punch if he agrees to fight him. Cole asks Lawler what his decision is. Lawler stands on top of the announcers table and gets a small chant from the crowd. Lawler says the nobodies he beat in Memphis include names like Jesse Ventura, Superstar Billy Graham, Dutch Mantell, Harley Race and others. Lawler goes on and brings up Andy Kaufman. Lawler says he knows he’s not the best in the world but he doesn’t think Punk is either. Lawler says he’s never backed down and he’s not going to start tonight. Lawler says damn right he will fight Punk tonight and the crowd pops. Lawler heads to the back to get ready as we go back to commercial.

John Cena vs. The Miz

Back from the break and out comes John Cena to the ring. Out next comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

Cole is by himself on this one as Lawler is backstage getting ready. The bell rings and they lock up. Miz takes Cena to the mat with a headlock. Cena turns it around and takes Miz to the mat now. More back and forth action as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Miz is in control of Cena. Josh Mathews is now on commentary. Miz avoids an Attitude Adjustment and comes back in to miss a clothesline. Cena runs the ropes and hits the bulldog for a 2 count. Miz makes a quick comeback for another pin attempt. Miz hits the clothesline in the corner and goes to the top for an ax handle shot for 2. Miz with another headlock on the mat.

Cena takes back control but Miz comes back with the neckbreaker for a 2 count. Miz kicks Cena in the face and covers for another pin attempt. Miz with another kick to the face and another 2 count. Miz runs the ropes and Cena catches him in the STF. Miz crawls to the bottom rope and breaks the hold. Miz comes back with another kick and a big DDT for 2. Cena blocks the Skull Crushing Finale but Miz blocks the AA and slams Cena for another 2 count. Cena ducks a clothesline and comes back with shoulder blocks and the big slam. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle and then the Attitude Adjustment for the win.

Winner: John Cena

- Cole reveals that AJ Lee is letting fans pick the kind of match for Punk vs. Lawler tonight. The Twitter hashtags are #WWETables for Tables Match, #WWECage for Cage Match or WWENoDQ for No DQ Match. We go back to another Triple H video.

- Back from the break. Randy Orton and Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio is announced for later tonight.

- More anger management class with Daniel Bryan. A man shares a story about his boss and Bryan is asked to react. He rants about AJ Lee. The teacher gets a text and the last patient is here. In walks Kane, wearing both of his masks. Kane sits down and that’s about it.

Heath Slater vs. Santino Marella

We go back to the arena and out comes Heath Slater. We see Slater’s Tout talking about how he beat Sin Cara on SmackDown and has a winning streak going now. Out comes his opponent Santino Marella.

Santino does some comedy to start the match. They tangle on the mat and trade air guitar moves. Slater knocks Santino down and takes control of the match. 2 count for Slater. Slater with elbows and knees to the back. More offense and pin attempt from Slater. Slater goes to the second rope but Santino keeps moving. Slater comes over and Santino rolls him up for 2. Santino makes a comeback and drops a headbutt. Santino pulls out the Cobra but Aksana’s music hits and out she comes, distracting the Cobra. Slater tries to sneak up but gets hit by the Cobra for the win.

Winner: Santino Marella

- More hype for Triple H as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and they plug WWE’s new app and the Twitter poll for Cole vs. Lawler.

Brodus Clay and Sin Cara vs. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes.

We go to the ring and out comes Brodus Clay with Naomi and Cameron. His partner Sin Cara is out next. Damien Sandow is the next man out. Sandow says he has finally found someone he can partner with and out comes Cody Rhodes. Cody comes out and insults Clay and Cara. We go to commercial.

Back form the break and Rhodes is in control of Cara, going for his mask. Sandow comes in for a bit of double teaming and drops a big elbow for a 2 count. Sandow works Cara over and tags Cody back in. Cara and Cody both go down at the same time. Clay comes in and runs over Cody. Clay with a splash in the corner. Clay with a running powerslam for a 2 count as Sandow breaks the pin. Sandow goes after Clay’s knee. Cara dumps Sandow to the floor. Cara leaps onto the rope and takes Sandow down on the floor. Clay knocks Cody out of the air with a headbutt and splashes him for the win.

Winners: Sin Cara and Brodus Clay

- After the match, Clay dances with Cara, Cameron, Naomi and a bunch of kids in the ring.

- More anger management classes with Daniel Bryan and now Kane. He removes the bigger mask after the teacher asks him to. Kane says he’s the devil’s favorite demon. Bryan says this is a bad idea. Kane tells the story about how he and Undertaker grew up. He talks about some of the infamous stuff he’s done in WWE. The teacher says they should call it a day and for next week, he wants them to make an anger collage. Bryan asks if this is therapy or arts and crafts. Everyone leaves but Kane and one man. He thanks Kane for sharing and tries to hug him. Kane grabs him by his shirt and tells him no problem.

- Bryan is shown walking backstage for a match against R-Truth.

- More hype for Triple H as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and we get another career highlight video for Triple H.

R-Truth vs. Daniel Bryan

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth. Out next comes Daniel Bryan.

The bell rings and Bryan is trying to play nice and keep his temper in check. They lock up and go to the mat before getting back up. Kofi is on commentary. They lock up again and Bryan takes it to the corner and beats Truth down. Bryan runs into a boot and a clothesline. Truth with a kick to the face and right hands. Truth with a pin attempt now. Truth dumps Bryan out to the floor and comes out after him. Truth grabs the mic and talks to Lil’ Jimmy. Bryan ends up getting into a shouting match with a fan at ringside and counted out.

Winner by Count Out: R-Truth

- After the match, Bryan loses it at ringside and kicks the ring steps. He goes in the ring and throws a fit.

- We go right to a look back at Brock Lesnar defeating Triple H at SummerSlam. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and they plug the Twitter poll for Punk vs. Lawler some more.

- Justin Roberts is in the ring and he introduces Triple H. The Game comes out in a suit with his arm in a cast.

There are some chants in the crowd and a few minutes before Triple H speaks. He says everyone wants to know if he’s going to retire. The crowd chants no. Triple H says the one thing he has learned in WWE is to never say never. He says when he started his career he wanted to do two tings – do stuff people wouldn’t forget and to retire before all of this before all of this retired him. He chokes up for a second and says everyone comes to a crossroad in their career. He says you ask yourself if it’s time. He says he never wanted to be the guy who was just hanging out, the guy who hung on too long waiting for the nostalgia pop. He didn’t want to be the guy who was too beat up or crippled inside to hold his own kids. He says Lesnar has made him ask the question, is he done? Triple H says the answer is he doesn’t know. He’s beat up and more tired than he’s ever been.

Triple H gets hype and says he wants to say that he’s coming back to kick Brock Lesnar’s ass because that’s what he does. That’s what he wants to do but he can’t. He says the truth is he doesn’t know if he can. Triple H wonders if he’s answered his own question. The crowd chants “you can do it.” Triple H says one thing he can do is thank the fans. Triple H talks about how all the Superstars are here working hard for our entertainment. Triple H goes on and says the fans have got him through everything. He thanks them from the bottom of his heart. Triple H tears up and thanks the fans for letting him play the game. Triple H says he will never forget any of us and gives thanks again before dropping the mic. The crowd stands and applauds him. There’s a “Thank you Hunter” chant that breaks out. Triple H does one last pose, with one arm raised, before walking off. He stops at the top of the ramp and the crowd pops. We go to commercial.

Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton and Sheamus

Back from the break and we see Dolph Ziggler beating Chris Jericho last week. We go to the arena now and Jericho’s music hits as the light go out. Dolph Ziggler appears instead and mocks Jericho. Ziggler says we will never, ever see Jericho again thanks to him. Ricardo Rodriguez does the introduction for Alberto Del Rio next as he comes in driving a 1963 Mercedes. Randy Orton is out first for his team followed by World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.

Orton and Ziggler start things out locking up. Orton drops Ziggler with a shoulder and then clotheslines him. Orton with a slingshot suplex. Del Rio comes in but Orton tosses him to the floor. Sheamus leaps from the apron and takes Del Rio down with a shoulder. Orton connects with a powerslam on Ziggler. Ziggler rolls out to the floor as Sheamus and Orton stand tall in the ring. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Ziggler is in control of Orton. Orton fights back but Ziggler drops him with a knee to the gut for another pin attempt. Del Rio tags in for a bit of double teaming and another pin attempt. Del Rio charges in the corner and Orton moves. Orton with a 2 count roll up. Orton back drops Del Rio over the top and to the floor. Ricardo helps Del Rio back in the ring and he tags in Ziggler as Sheamus comes in. Sheamus unloads on Ziggler and hits a big knee to the face. Sheamus knocks Del Rio off the apron. Ziggler kicks Sheamus in the face and knocks Orton off the apron. Sheamus goes for White Noise but Ziggler rolls him up. Sheamus hits Irish Curse but Ziggler kicks out at 2 as Del Rio breaks the pin. Ziggler goes to use his briefcase after Ricardo slides it in but Orton catches him in the backbreaker. Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick on Ziggler for the win.

Winners: Randy Orton and Sheamus

- Lawler is backstage talking with John Cena about his match against CM Punk. Lawler doesn’t want Cena’s help because Punk will throw it in his face. Lawler says he is facing Punk for himself. Cena wishes him good luck and walks off. We go to commercial.

- Back from the break and we see Kane attacking Josh Mathews backstage at SummerSlam.

Zack Ryder vs. David Otunga

Kane comes to ringside and Mathews gets up from commentary and runs off. Apparently Kane is doing commentary with Cole here. Zack Ryder comes out first followed by David Otunga.

The bell rings and Otunga strikes first. Otunga takes Ryder from corner to corner and beats him around. Otunga with a big clothesline and a running shoulder for a 2 count. Kane still hasn’t said anything on commentary. Ryder starts to make a comeback but Otunga pulls him from the second rope. Ryder hits the Ruff Ryder for the win.

Winner: Zack Ryder

- After the match, Kane goes into the ring and grabs Ryder for a chokeslam. Kane hesitates and lets Ryder go. He then grabs Otunga and lays him out with a chokeslam.

- Punk is shown backstage getting ready for tonight’s main event. Another plug for the Twitter poll before we go back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Orton vs. Ziggler is announced for SmackDown.

- Josh Mathews is in the ring to announce the stipulation for Punk vs. Lawler. The fans have chosen a steel cage match. AJ Lee comes out and says regardless of tonight’s outcome, Punk will defend the WWE Title at Night of Champions against her choice – John Cena. The steel cage is lowered over the ring. We see Lawler backstage walking as we go back to commercial.

Steel Cage Match: Jerry Lawler vs. CM Punk

Back from the break and Jerry Lawler makes his way out to the cage. WWE Champion CM Punk is out next.

Punk starts the match and wants to give Lawler the first punch. Lawler knocks Punk to the mat with a big right hand and shocks him. Punk takes control and hits a neckbreaker before taking Lawler to the mat. Punk continues to beat Lawler up. Punk goes to climb the cage and takes his time. Punk comes down from the top and splashes Lawler in the corner. Punk with a dropkick and more offense on Lawler.

Punk climbs back to the top but Lawler knocks him off. Lawler tries to escape out of the cage door but Punk pulls him back in and drops a series of elbows. Lawler blocks a neckbreaker and shoves Punk into the cage. Lawler makes a comeback and unloads on Punk. Lawler goes to the second rope and pulls his strap down. Lawler connects with the big right hand but Punk kicks out at 2. Lawler goes to escape but Punk stops him. Punk hits the knee in the corner and they both go down. Punk gets up and calls for GTS. Punk instead slams Lawler and applies the Anaconda Vice for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

- Punk is busted open and bleeding. It takes him a few second to break the hold on Lawler. Punk grabs a mic and then a toolbox from under the ring. Punk empties it out and brings a chain in the ring. He chains the cage door shut with he and Lawler inside of it. Punk grabs Lawler and wants him to say that Punk is the best in the world. Lawler says hell no and Punk hits him with a bunch of elbows. Punk declares he is the best wrestler in the world and wants Lawler to say it. Punk mounts him with right hands when John Cena runs out. Cena tries to get in the cage and tells the crew to raise the cage up. Cena yells at Punk that he’s crossed the line and Lawler has had enough. Punk drops knees on Lawler as Cena looks on. The cage starts to raise and Punk rolls out with the WWE Title as Cena checks on Lawler. The crowd boos Punk as he heads up the ramp with his hand in the air. Punk walks to the back and RAW goes off the air with trainers checking on Lawler in the ring.

08/21/2012 : WWE Raw Results: Post-SummerSlam Reaction August 20, 2012

- Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. Out comes Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to kick things off. Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW as Lesnar and Heyman head to the ring.

Heyman takes the mic and talks about how Lesnar vs. Triple H at SummerSlam was uncomfortable to watch. Heyman goes on about how Triple H is strong but Lesnar was able to stop him. Heyman gets hyped up talking about how Lesnar forced Triple H quit on his family, the fans and everyone else. Heyman says Triple H had his dignity and his manhood stripped. He says Lesnar left Triple H a battered shell of a man. Heyman doesn’t feel sorry for Triple H and says none of the fans should either. Heyman calls out referee Scott Armstrong.

Heyman talks about how Triple H had Armstrong bend the rules at SummerSlam. Heyman says Lesnar has two words for Armstrong. Lesnar slowly backs Armstrong to the corner. Lesnar pats him on the head and shoulder, then tells him good job and backs off. Heyman anoints Lesnar as the new King of Kings, the Master of the Brock-tagon and the conqueror of the WWE Universe. Heyman says we all are now the loyal subjects to the master of the WWE Universe, Brock Lesnar. Lesnar’s music hits and they leave.

- Cole and Jerry Lawler plug Shawn Michaels’ appearance for later tonight, via satellite. We go to commercial.

Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Sin Cara vs. Titus O’Neil, Darren Young and Cody Rhodes

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth. They have some Mattel Brawlin’ Buddies for the fans. Out comes their partner Sin Cara. Out first for the next team comes Cody Rhodes. His partners are Titus O’Neil and Darren Young.

Young starts off with Kofi. They trade holds and Young drops Kofi with a shoulder. Young runs the ropes and Kofi takes him down with an elbow for a 2 count. Truth tags in and they double team Young. Kofi with a big kick to the face and a double dropkick to Titus. Cody comes in and Cara pulls him out of the ring. Cara goes to the top but Cody runs away. The tag champs dropkick Titus and Young off the apron. Cara tells Cody to come back to the ring as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Truth goes at it with Young. Truth kicks him in the face but Young fights back. Cody tags himself in and drops Truth for a 2 count. Cody works Truth over and taunts his partners. Titus comes in and continues the beatdown on Truth. Truth tries to comeback but Titus hits a big boot for 2. Young comes back in and steps on Truth before they double team him. Another 2 count on Truth.

Titus comes back in and hits a bunch of shoulder thrusts in the corner. Truth finally fights both of them off but gets stopped by a big Titus clothesline. 2 count by Titus. Titus goes and hits Kofi but turns around to a big shot from Truth. Cody tags in as does Cara. They go at it with Cara hitting his moves. Cara with a big kick from the apron and a crossbody for 2. Everyone is in the ring now and the tag champs send Titus and Young to the floor. Kofi is sent flying over the top. Cody tries to take Cara’s mask off but Cara rolls him up for the win.

Winners: Sin Cara, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth

- Coming later tonight is Zack Ryder and Kane vs. Daniel Bryan and The Miz.

- Matt Striker is backstage with RAW General Manager AJ Lee. David Otunga walks up and says he’s back to RAW. He talks about leaving to film The Hive with Halle Berry. Otunga congratulates AJ on being GM of RAW. He points out that she might need some Harvard educated legal counsel. Otunga offers his services and she wants him to offer them in the ring tonight, against an opponent of her choosing. Otunga walks off. Striker brings up CM Punk’s Tout from earlier about picking his own #1 contender. AJ says that’s fine with her as long as she approves of it. AJ skips off and we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and Cole plugs tonight’s Social Media Ambassador Khloe Kardashian. She’s been tweeting about Sin Cara, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman.

Ryback vs. Mike Spinner and Andy

We go to the ring and out comes Ryback with his new theme song. Two local wrestlers are waiting in the ring. Ryback tosses the one guy out of the ring and shoulder thrusts the other into the corner. Ryback manhandles the guy and powerbombs him. Ryback with two more powerbombs as the other guy comes in the ring. Ryback calls him stupid and suplexes him in on his face. Ryback grabs both of them for the double Shellshocked when Jinder Mahal runs in and attacks from behind for the disqualification.

Winner by DQ: Ryback

- After the bell, Mahal continues the attack and hits Ryback with a knee to the face. Mahal applies The Camel Clutch but Ryback powers to his feet with Jinder on his back. Ryback drops down and Jinder retreats from the ring. Ryback stops one of the local wrestlers from attacking. Ryback grabs both jobbers and slams them down to send a message to Mahal, who looks on from the ramp.

- Chris Jericho is backstage when Dolph Ziggler walks up. Ziggler congratulates him on the SummerSlam win. Ziggler wants a rematch tonight. He says he can beat Jericho. Jericho says he knows how to win the big one and asks if Ziggler does. AJ comes skipping in and makes the rematch. If Jericho loses, his contract is terminated. If Ziggler loses, Jericho gets his Money in the Bank contract. AJ skips off and Ziggler chases after her.

- Alberto Del Rio is shown walking backstage and he’s not happy. He slaps something out of Ricardo Rodriguez’s hands and keeps walking. We go to commercial.

- Back from the break and out comes Alberto Del Rio. He demands a World Heavyweight Title rematch tonight. AJ Lee comes out and puts him in a match… against Randy Orton.

Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio

Orton makes his way out to a big pop as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and before the match begins, out comes World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. He joins Cole and Lawler for commentary. Orton goes to work on Del Rio and dropkicks him. Orton with an early pin attempt. Orton with a headlock now. Orton goes on and Del Rio rolls to the apron and gets knocked to the floor. Orton goes back to work on Del Rio in the ring. Orton hits a slingshot suplex for a 2 count.

Orton starts stomping on Del Rio and covers for another pin attempt. Orton mounts Del Rio with rights in the corner but Del Rio turns it around. Del Rio with a big kick to the head and a 2 count. Del Rio with a headlock now. Del Rio charges and misses in the corner. Orton rolls him up for 2. Del Rio comes right back with kicks and dropkicks Orton for 2. Del Rio goes on and hits a suplex. Del Rio mocks Orton and stomps away some more. Del Rio goes to the top but Orton cuts him off. Orton climbs up for a superplex and nails it. 2 count for Orton.

Orton makes a comeback and hits the big powerslam. Orton brings Del Rio in from the apron but Del Rio knocks him back to the apron. Del Rio with a big kick to the head and a 2 count. Del Rio stomps away some more but Orton catches him with a backbreaker. Del Rio comes back with more kicks. Orton blocks the cross armbreaker with a swinging neckbreaker. 2 count by Orton. Del Rio goes back to the corner and Orton cuts him off again. Orton grabs Del Rio and hits the second rope draping DDT from out of the corner this time. Orton readies for the RKO and the crowd pops. Ricardo gets on the apron and Orton jumps at him. Sheamus gets up and makes Ricardo run away. Orton and Sheamus lock eyes, allowing Del Rio to attack from behind with the backstabber. Del Rio covers for the pin but Sheamus puts Orton’s foot on the bottom rope, breaking the pin. Del Rio argues with Sheamus and turns around to a big RKO from Orton. Orton covers for the win.

- Cole hypes that CM Punk will name his new #1 contender later tonight. We see the WWE.com video of Punk speaking after SummerSlam about retaining the WWE Title.

- Back from the break and we get a look at Antonio Cesaro winning the United States Title from Santino Marella in the SummerSlam pre-show match.

- Cole leads us into a video package of highlights from SummerSlam weekend in Los Angeles.

Brodus Clay vs. Damien Sandow

We go to the ring and out comes Brodus Clay with Cameron and Naomi. We see footage from two weeks back when Damien Sandow attacked Clay on the ramp. Clay waits on Sandow to come out but we go to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes Damien Sandow. We get a side video where Sandow says he will send The Funkasaurus back to extinction tonight. The bell rings and Sandow goes for the leg but Clay beats him down and into the corner. Clay with rights and lefts in the corner. Sandow turns it around and goes to work on Clay’s knee. Clay shoves him off and hits a big clothesline.

Clay keeps control and takes Sandow to the other corner. Clay with a big belly-to-belly slam and an elbow drop. Clay talks some trash to Sandow. Sandow comes back with kicks to the knee and takes Brodus down. Clay comes back and shrugs it off. Clay hits the big splash in the corner. Clay dances on Sandow and hits the rear bumps in the corner. Clay with a headbutt to the chest. Clay misses another splash and Sandow rolls him up out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: Damien Sandow

- After the match, Clay grabs Sandow and hits him with a big suplex. Clay splashes Sandow and dances as his dancers join him in the ring. Several kids wearing John Cena t- also come in to dance.

- Cole shows us some of the Superstar tweets on Triple H’s future. Still no mention of the Tout video from Brock Lesnar announcing he’s leaving WWE that was posted a little while ago.

- We see Shawn Michaels at home being prepped for the satellite interview. Shawn has his arm in a cast. We go to commercial.

- Back from the break and we see footage of Brock Lesnar attacking Shawn Michaels on last week’s RAW. Cole is live via satellite with Shawn Michaels from his home in Texas. Cole asks his feelings on what happened at SummerSlam. Shawn says he thinks he knows what’s going through Triple H’s head right now. Shawn talks about preparing for your career to end but says there’s really nothing that prepares you for that day. Shawn says Triple H is a warrior and always has been, a man of honor and integrity – something Heyman and Lesnar would know nothing about, he says. Shawn says Triple H gave everything he had every night and SummerSlam was no exception. Shawn wonders if things would have been different if he was in Triple H’s corner. Shawn says he should have told Triple H the truth – that he didn’t think Triple H could beat Lesnar. Shawn starts to get emotional and says Triple H has nothing to be ashamed of. Shawn calls him one of the greatest Superstars to ever live. Shawn says he has always respected him and will always be proud of him, and always love him. Shawn thanks Triple H for a job well done on behalf of the WWE Universe. We go back to commercial.

David Otunga vs. Big Show

Back from the break and out comes David Otunga for his first match in a while. Otunga is introduced as a graduate of Harvard Law School. AJ Lee put him in this match and out comes the opponent she picked – Big Show.

Show comes to the ring and he’s pissed. He takes Otunga to the corner with a big body blow and then chops him to the mat. Show with another big chop. Show scoop slams Otunga and backs him to the ropes with more shots to the gut. Show knocks Otunga back to the mat and steps on him. Big headbutt by Show now. Otunga tries to fight back but gets knocked back to the mat. Show chokes him on the ropes now. Show with another big chop in the corner.

Otunga tries to fight back again but has no luck. Show with knees to the head. Show with another big slam and the knockout punch for the win.

Winner: Big Show

- We see the WWE.com video of Big Show venting after SummerSlam and wondering when he will get a singles match.

- Up next is Zack Ryder and Kane vs. The Miz and Daniel Bryan as ordered by AJ. Back to commercial.

Zack Ryder and Kane vs. The Miz and Daniel Bryan

Back from the break and out comes Kane first for his team. Zack Ryder is out next and is hesitant to enter the ring because of their past. Out next comes Daniel Bryan followed by Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

Bryan starts out with Kane but quickly tags in Miz as soon as the bell hits. Kane pulls Miz into the ring and takes him to the corner. Kane hits Miz and tags Ryder in. Ryder with some offense and knees to the face. Ryder with a dropkick on Miz. Miz stops him with a big boot and starts stomping. Miz with another big kick and a 2 count. Bryan comes in and continues the beatdown on Ryder. Bryan with knee drops to the back. Bryan wants Kane to tag in but goes back to work on Ryder. Bryan with kicks to the chest now.

Bryan with a big knee drop and another pin attempt. Miz comes back in and they double team Ryder. Miz keeps control of Ryder as Kane looks on. Miz with another takedown and a pin attempt. Bryan tags back in and hits a bunch of kicks in the corner. Bryan misses a clothesline in the corner and knocks Miz off the apron. Ryder tags in Kane and Bryan goes to tag in Miz but he jumps off the apron. Bryan ducks Kane and smacks him. Bryan leaves the ring and runs through the crowd. Kane stops chasing him and grabs Ryder. Kane hits a big chokeslam on Ryder and immediately starts tearing up everything at ringside. Kane grabs a WWE crew member and tosses him over the barrier. Kane goes back in the ring to Ryder and lays him out with a Tombstone Piledriver. Kane runs off to the back as trainers come down to check on the timekeeper who was assaulted.

- We see the WWE.com video of John Cena reacting to SummerSlam after the WWE Title match. Matt Striker is backstage now with WWE Champion CM Punk. Punk wonders who his next opponent is and says he’s already beat everyone. Punk is going to pick someone that a lot of people say Punk can’t beat. John Cena. Punk says under one condition and he will call Cena out in the ring later tonight to see if Cena accepts this condition. Punk says he is going to demand respect tonight.

- Up next, a #1 contender’s Divas battle royal. We go to commercial.

#1 Contenders Battle Royal: Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn, Aksana, Natalya, Alicia Fox, Tamina, Rosa Mendes

WWE Divas Champion Layla is at ringside for this one. All the Divas stare at her while Tamina backs up and here we go. Rosa is beat up by Tamina and Aksana early. She comes back and tackles Aksana. They roll around the ring and under the bottom rope to the floor. Cole says they both are eliminated. Eve and Kaitlyn go at it now. Natalya and Natalya work to eliminate Kaitlyn but she fights back in. Natalya and Tamina double team Alicia Fox and try to double suplex her out of the ring. Alicia counters and sends them to the apron. Natalya comes in and rams Alicia back into the corner. Natalya gets eliminated. Tamina kicks Alicia out of the ring. Kaitlyn eliminates Tamina. Eve gets Kaitlyn from behind and tries to eliminate her but she hangs on. Kaitlyn with an uppercut and a clothesline but Eve doesn’t go. Kaitlyn hits another clothesline and Eve is gone.

Winner and New #1 Contender: Kaitlyn

- Layla looks shocked at ringside as Kaitlyn celebrates in the ring. Layla claps for Kaitlyn and it appears Eve has a cut on her face.

- We get more stills from Lesnar vs. Triple H at SummerSlam. Cole shows us the beginning of RAW where Heyman bragged about Lesnar’s victory. They finally show Brock Lesnar’s new Tout video where he says he is leaving WWE for good.

- Up next is Chris Jericho vs. Dolph Ziggler with Jericho’s contract and Ziggler’s briefcase on the line. Back to commercial.

- We get another Wade Barrett vignette. His fists are his weapons of choice. His barrage cannot be stopped.

- Cole and Lawler plug the new WWE app.

- Vickie Guerrero is backstage talking to Dolph Ziggler about his match tonight. She says he must win for her tonight. Ziggler says he has to win this for himself and it’s the biggest match of his career. Vickie is freaking out about how they have to win tonight. Dolph says they will win, grabs his briefcase and walks off. Back to commercial.

Contract vs. Contract Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho

Back from the break and out comes Dolph Ziggler with Vickie Guerrero. Out next comes Chris Jericho and his ribs are still taped up.

The bell rings and they lock up. Early pin attempts and holds back and forth. Jericho drops Ziggler with a big uppercut. Jericho takes Ziggler to the corner with right hands but Ziggler comes right back and beats him to the mat. Ziggler with an elbow drop and a 2 count. More back and forth. Jericho dropkicks Ziggler out to the floor and we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Ziggler is in control. Ziggler drops a big elbow for another 2 count. Ziggler goes back to the headlock and takes Jericho down. Jericho back drops him. Ziggler runs into a boot in the corner. Jericho with a pair of shoulder blocks. Jericho goes to the top and crashes down on Ziggler as the crowd pops. Ziggler blocks the bulldog but they go to the corner. Jericho climbs up for a series of right hands and a scissors takedown. Jericho covers for a 2 count.

Ziggler comes right back with a DDT for a 2 count. Jericho blocks Zig Zag and goes for the Walls of Jericho but it’s countered. Jericho rolls him up for 2. Jericho with a clothesine. More back and forth until Jericho hits a bulldog. Ziggler blocks the Lionsault with his knees and hits Zig Zag for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

- After the match, Ziggler grabs the briefcase and celebrates in the ring with Vickie. We go to replays as Jericho recovers. Dolph runs around and poses on the turnbuckles as Jericho sits there. Jericho grabs the briefcase from Vickie and hits Dolph in the gut with it, then over the back. Jericho hits a Codebreaker and his music hits as Vickie yells at ringside. Jericho waves to the fans as we get another replay. Jericho shakes his head and greets a few fans at ringside on his way up the ramp. Jericho stops and looks back at the crowd as we go to a preview of The Day.

- CM Punk is shown walking backstage as we get another commercial.

- Back from the break and out comes WWE Champion CM Punk. Punk stops and comes out in front of Jerry Lawler. Punk remembered how Lawler said he turned his back on WWE a few weeks ago. Punk wants Lawler to go ahead and admit that was a lie. Lawler said he meant no malice at all and felt at that moment that he turned his back. Punk wants an apology from Lawler. John Cena’s music hits and out he comes.

Cena hits the ring to a mixed reaction as Punk looks on. Punk asks if Cena could have waited until he called him out. Punk says he has been taking a backseat to Cena, Triple H and The Rock out of respect but respect is a two-way street and it’s never been reciprocated how it should be to him. Punk says people always ask him why he’s not in the main event. Punk says out of respect he has let Cena go on last. Punk says taking a backseat no longer makes any sense. Punk points out he beat Cena last year for the title.

Punk says Cena is the #1 contender because he has to beat him again, because he is going to beat him again. Punk says all Cena has to do is admit Punk is the best in the world. Punk wants Cena to tell the truth. Cena talks about how he hasn’t been WWE Champion in 9 months and how people stick with him through everything and have respect. Cena talks about the city of Fresno and gets them to pop. Cena says he’s not going to let everyone down and won’t be calling Punk the best in the world. Cena says to succeed, he has to believe in his heart that he’s the best. Cena talks about how he didn’t think he would lose to The Rock at WrestleMania and if he gets another chance, he will. Cena goes on and congratulates Punk on his title reign but points out he held it for well over 300 days straight. Cena says during that time he never came out and demanded anything from anyone, inside or out of the ring. Cena says Punk has been WWE Champion for over 270 days and all anyone remembers of him is the night he blew a kiss to Vince McMahon and left town. Cena says he isn’t here to stroke Punk’s ego. Cena offers Punk vindication and tells him to prove it. Cena says he can live with it if Punk doesn’t choose him as #1 contender because he’s confident he can get another title shot. Cena points out that Night of Champions is in his hometown. Cena says if Punk can walk out WWE Champion, that will defy his existence. Cena says the choice is Punk’s.

Cena says if Punk doesn’t choose him, he has no respect for the WWE Title or himself. Cena drops the mic and walks off to the back. Punk turns right to Jerry Lawler and demands the apology again. Punk calls Lawler to the ring for a conversation. Punk says Lawler went too far with what he said and owes him an apology. Lawler says this is all a misunderstanding but if Punk wants him to, he apologizes. Lawler turns to leave but Punk stops him. Punk says if Cena doesn’t want to say it, then he wants to hear Lawler say he is the best in the world. Lawler says he can’t do that and the crowd pops. Lawler goes to leave and Punk kicks him in the back of the head. Punk grabs the WWE Title and kneels down in front of Lawler. Some of the fans boo as Punk just stares at Lawler and RAW goes off the air.

Tonight's WWE Raw opens up with the new intro video. We're live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas as Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. He's joined by Jerry Lawler.

CM Punk vs. Big Show

We go right to the ring and out comes WWE Champion CM Punk for a non-title match.
Out next comes Big Show as the announcers hype SummerSlam.

They lock up and Show overpowers him. Punk fights back and takes Show to the corner with lefts and rights. Show overpowers again and turns it around. Punk with kicks now. Show stops him with a big headbutt. Show chokes Punk on the ropes now. They go to the corner again and Show connects with a big chop to the chest. Show continues the assault on Punk and walks on top of him. Show stands on Punk's head now.

Show with another big chop to the chest. Punk fights back and staggers Show with a dropkick. Show stops him with another headbutt and a big scoop slam. Show goes to work on Punk's arm and shoulder now. Punk starts another comeback. Show misses a splash in the corner and Punk connects with the high knee. Show blocks the bulldog and spears Punk. Daniel Bryan's music hits and out he comes.

Bryan comes out ranting about how he will make Punk tap out. He thinks he should be wrestling the WWE Champion at SummerSlam and not Kane. Show hits Punk with a big sideslam and goes to the top. Punk kicks him down and springboards in with a clothesline. Punk with a 2 count. Bryan rushes the ring and attacks Punk for the DQ.

Winner by DQ: CM Punk

- After the bell, Bryan applies the No Lock on Punk and won't let go. Show takes advantage and drops an elbow on Punk while he's down. John Cena runs down and clotheslines Show out of the ring. Bryan attacks Cena but gets dumped out to the floor. Cena cleans house as Punk looks on. RAW General Manager AJ Lee comes skipping out to the ring. AJ says Daniel is clearly still dealing with anger management issues and he will make it up to everyone for ruining this match. AJ announces Bryan and Show vs. Punk and Cena for later tonight. AJ skips away as Cena and Punk argue in the ring.

- Still to come tonight, a contract signing between Triple H and Brock Lesnar.

JTG is backstage with Kaitlyn. He's complaining about not being able to get a match on a three-hour show. AJ walks by and wonders if he's trying to say she's not doing a good job. JTG gets quiet now as AJ questions him. AJ tells JTG to get to the ring now and she will find him an opponent. He walks off and she's left with Kaitlyn. She asks if Kaitlyn thinks she's unstable. Kaitlyn can think of many words to describe AJ but unstable isn't one of them, she says.

- Cole and Lawler hype tonight's big tag match.

JTG vs. Ryback

We go to the ring and out comes JTG. Cole brings up JTG's Twitter rant from last week. Out comes his opponent Ryback. Ryback has a new theme song this week.

The bell rings and they lock up. Ryback shoves JTG off and backs him into the ropes. They go at it and JTG hits right hands. Ryback catches him with a belly to belly and runs over him with a big boot. Ryback slams JTG's head on the mat a few times and drops him with a big powerbomb. The crowd chants Feed Me More as Ryback gets ready. He nails the big clothesline and then hits Shellshocked for the win.

Winner: Ryback

- Cole announces that Roddy Piper is here tonight and fans will be able to vote on Twitter their choices for a Piper's Pit guest. #Y2JPit is for Chris Jericho, #MizPit is for The Miz and #DolphPit is for Dolph Ziggler.

- Santino Marella vs. Antonio Cesaro with the United States Title on the line is announced for the SummerSlam pre-show match.

- WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper is backstage rambling. The camera pans and we see Shawn Michaels in there with him. They do a bit and Shawn takes a phone call. It sounds like he's talking to Triple H, who apparently is stuck on a flight. Shawn says he needs to be here because it's not Shawn's fight. Shawn hangs up and looks worried.

Heath Slater vs. R-Truth

We go to the ring and Heath Slater is interrupted by one-half of the Tag Team Champions R-Truth.

Truth and Slater go at it. They trade right hands and Slater drops Truth with a neckbreaker. Slater with a quick pin attempt. Slater works Truth over and keeps him grounded on the mat now. Truth ducks and comes back with a clothesline and a face plant for the quick win.

Winner: R-Truth

- After the match, the music hits and out comes Darren Young and Titus O'Neil. Truth fights them off but gets dropped by a big boot from Titus. Truth gets double teamed now by the #1 contenders, who get their title shot at SummerSlam. It was mentioned earlier that Kofi Kingston is on tour overseas.

- We see some Tout videos from Mark Henry while he was in London for the Olympics.

- Cole and Lawler plug DJ Pauly D, who is tonight's Social Media Ambassador. They go over some of his tweets about tonight's show so far.

- We get a look at SmackDown where the World Heavyweight Title match was canceled. They show the WWE.com video where Booker T said Alberto Del Rio crossed the line and would be facing repercussions. Cole shows us a new Tout video from Alberto Del Rio where he said he would be speaking with Booker on SmackDown.

Sin Cara vs. Tensai

We go to the ring and out first comes Sin Cara.

Tensai comes out Next with Sakamoto. The bell rings and Tensai drops Cara. He goes for a powerbomb but Cara turns it around and tries for a roll up but can't. Tensai runs over Cara with a shoulder. Tensai goes for a splash in the corner but Cara moves. Cara goes up top with a senton. Cara kicks Sakamoto off the apron and sends Tensai flying into him. Cara with more offense and a DDT from the corner. Cara with the quick pin out of nowhere.

Winner: Sin Cara

- After the match, Cara hurries up the ramp. Tensai grabs Sakamoto and brings him in the ring. Tensai slaps him and slams him to the mat. Tensai drops a backsplash on Sakamoto and screams.

- Shawn Michaels is backstage asking a crew member if they have seen someone. Shawn wants to be notified when this person arrives.

- Jerry Lawler introduces Roddy Piper. The ring is all done up for Piper's Pit. Piper cuts a promo and Lawler reveals the guest to be Chris Jericho with 55% of the vote. Jericho's music hits and out he comes to Piper's Pit.

Piper says last time he saw Jericho was when Mickey Rourke knocked him out at WrestleMania a few years back. Jericho talks about he beat the Legends at WrestleMania that year. Jericho is excited to be on Piper's Pit for the first time ever and thanks the fans. Piper talks about how Dolph Ziggler can't win the big one anymore. Piper says he knew Jericho's father and he won the big one. Vickie Guerrero comes out screaming for everyone to excuse her. Vickie introduces Dolph and out he comes with the briefcase.

Ziggler asks Piper how many years has he been doing the same tired segment. Ziggler calls Piper sad. Piper knocks Ziggler for wearing pink and takes a shot at Vickie. Ziggler asks how many failed comebacks does Jericho have to have before he realizes he just can't do it anymore. Ziggler says Jericho will be finished after their match on Sunday. Jericho comes back but Vickie chimes in and Jericho tells her to shut the hell up. Jericho says he hasn't forgot about Vickie slapping him on Friday. Jericho says he's going to prove Ziggler wrong by beating him at SummerSlam. Jericho guarantees that. Piper tries a Y2J chant when WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz comes out.

Miz comes out asking really. He says Dolph and he have something in common - they can still win the big one. Miz talks about some of his accomplishments and says he's taking matters into his own hands - he's taking over the show. He says Dolph can be his guest but Piper and Jericho can get the hell out of his ring. Piper yells no and Jericho lays Miz out with a right hand. Jericho attacks Ziggler and throws Miz out of the ring. Ziggler grabs his briefcase but Jericho counters and knocks him out of the ring. Jericho poses with Piper as his music plays as they celebrate.


Chris Jericho vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

We have a match, as announced by AJ on Twitter. The bell rings and Jericho fights both men off and clotheslines Miz in the corner. Jericho with a backdrop and a dropkick on Ziggler, sending him out to the floor. Jericho works over Miz now and suplexes him. Pin attempt by Jericho.

Jericho with chops. Ziggler trips Jericho up and comes back in the match. Ziggler and Miz stomp away on Jericho and continue to double team him. Miz and Ziggler finally have words and Jericho attacks both. Jericho dumps Miz to the floor and then Ziggler. Jericho leaps over the top and takes both of them out. Jericho climbs on top of the announcers table and plays to the crowd. Jericho slams a piece of the table onto his opponents and rolls Ziggler back in the ring. Jericho kicks Miz in the face but gets knocked into the announcers table by Ziggler.

The Miz is going at it with Jericho in the ring while Ziggler is still on the floor. Miz takes control. Ziggler tries to get back in but can't. Miz covers Jericho for 2 and goes back to work. Miz with a submission now. Miz misses the big clothesline in the corner as Jericho moves. Jericho makes a comeback with shoulders. He springboard dropkicks Dolph as he tries coming in. Jericho unloads on Miz and hits the bulldog. Jericho with a Lionsault for 2 as Ziggler comes back in. Jericho stops Ziggler and takes Miz to the apron. Jericho goes for a superplex but Dolph comes over and powerbombs them. Ziggler with a 2 count. Jericho reverses it for 2. Ziggler drops Jericho with the big leg drop for another pin attempt.

Miz comes in from behind and hits Skull Crushing Finale on Ziggler but Jericho breaks the pin. Miz goes at it with Jericho but gets rolled up. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Miz counters. Ziggler comes in and takes out Miz. Jericho hits Ziggler with a Codebreaker. Jericho covers Ziggler but Vickie puts his foot on the bottom rope. Jericho argues with Vickie. Miz rolls Jericho up from behind but he kicks out. Jericho blocks SCF and rolls Miz up into the Walls of Jericho. Miz taps out but Vickie has the referee distracted. Ziggler runs in and hits Zig Zag on Jericho for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

We see CM Punk backstage warming up. Eve Torres appears and congratulates him on the new CM Punk. He says there is no new CM Punk, he's the same guy he always has been. Punk says all he has ever done is fight for respect because that's what he deserves. Eve says nobody believes that, especially John Cena. Punk says he will go tell Cena that himself and walks off.

- Still to come, the Lesnar-HHH contract signing for SummerSlam.

- Michael Cole goes over more Raw tweets from Pauly D. We get a look back at earlier tonight where John Cena made the save for CM Punk against Daniel Bryan and Big Show.

- Shawn Michaels is shown backstage and Cole mentions Triple H isn't here yet. Cena walks up on HBK and he's a bit jumpy. HBK walks off and CM Punk walks up. Punk says he won't stab anyone in the back but he will make sure Cena and Show don't walk out of SummerSlam the champion. Back to commercial.

- We get another vignette for Wade Barrett.

Kaitlyn and Layla vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Divas Champion Layla with her partner Kaitlyn. Out next comes the team of Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres.

Beth and Layla start things out. They go at it and Beth lifts her high. Layla slides out and they go to the corner. Eve tags in and beats Layla down in the corner. Layla with more counters and pin attempts. Layla springboards into a crossbody for another pin attempt. Layla with a headlock now. Layla dances around and bumps Eve in the face. Kaitlyn taunts Eve, allowing Layla to clothesline her. 2 count by Layla. Kaitlyn tags in and hits a backbreaker for a 2 count. Kaitlyn with more shots and another pin attempt. Kaitlyn goes to the second rope but Eve pulls her to the mat. Eve mounts her with right hands and covers for 2.

Beth tags in and takes control of Kaitlyn. She also clotheslines Layla off the apron. The referee holds Layla back as Kaitlyn gets double teamed in the corner. Kaitlyn fights Beth and takes another shot at Eve. Kaitlyn pushes Beth into Eve and then rolls Beth up for the win.

-They show the video package for Lesnar vs. Triple H again. Lawler says Triple H has not arrived yet but is on his way to the arena. The tag match is up next after commercial.

Big Show and Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk and John Cena

Back from the break and out comes Big Show first for his team. Daniel Bryan is out next. WWE Champion CM Punk is out first for his team, followed by John Cena.

Cena and Bryan start things out. Cena applies a headlock and drops him with a shoulder. Punk tags himself in while Cena isn't expecting it. Show wants to tag in but Bryan locks up with Punk. They go back and forth a bit until Cena tags himself in. Show wants a tag still but Bryan yells no at him. Cena and Bryan go at it and Cena gets the upperhand. Cena with a dropkick. Show finally comes in and turns things around on Cena.

Back from a commercial break and Show is still in control of Cena. Cena starts to fight back but Show catches him in mid-air. Bryan tags himself in. Bryan yells at Show to get out of the ring and they have words. Bryan misses a dropkick on Cena in the corner. Punk comes in and clotheslines Bryan. Punk with a neckbreaker and a 2 count as Show breaks the pin. Punk goes to tag Cena but he's not there. Bryan pulls Punk back and tags in Show. Show goes to work on Punk now.

Show with a big body shot on Punk. Show backs Punk onto the ropes and delivers another big chop to the chest. Punk fights back but Show catches him in a bear hug. Punk tries to make a comeback but Show drops him with a big backdrop. Show taunts Cena as Punk recovers. Punk fights back again but Show scoop slams him. Bryan tags himself in again and yells at Show to get out. They argue again. Show leaves the ring and takes a seat at ringside. Bryan unloads on Punk with kicks to the chest. Punk ducks one kick and takes Bryan down with another. Punk mocks Cena's sequence of moves and hits the shoulders, the back drop and the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena stops the Shuffle by tagging himself in. Cena hits the high knee in the corner and then the bulldog like Punk. Punk leaves the ring and Bryan rolls Cena up for 2. Cena comes back with the Attitude Adjustment on Bryan for the win as Show looks on from ringside.

Winners: CM Punk and John Cena

- After the match, Cena celebrates and in comes Show. Punk makes the save and knocks Show down with the WWE Title belt. Cena and Punk stare each other down for a minute. Punk extends his hand for a shake but Cena won't accept it. Punk gets pissed and leaves the ring with the WWE Title. Punk walks straight to the back and Cena's music plays again.

- Josh Mathews catches Punk backstage and asks him what just happened. Punk says Cena went into business for himself and only cares about himself. Punk says Cena disrespected him by not shaking his hand. Punk says he's going to teach Cena and everyone about respect after SummerSlam on Sunday.

- We see Paul Heyman backstage talking with Brock Lesnar.

Damien Sandow vs. Christian

We go to the ring and out comes Damien Sandow. We get a look back at Sandow attacking Brodus Clay last week. Out next comes Christian.

They lock up and Sandow strikes first. Sandow whips Christian to the corner and hits him with shoulder thrusts. Sandow trips Christian and drops a big elbow for 2. Sandow runs into a big boot and misses a clothesline. Christian with right hands and a clothesline. Christian drops down with the big right hand and comes off the second rope with an elbow. Christian readies for the finish but Sandow rolls out to the ring. Christian comes out and Sandow rams his head repeatedly into the steel steps. Sandow brings it back in the ring but Brodus Clay's music hits and out he comes. Sandow is distracted and Christian gets a 2 count. Sandow comes right back with his finisher on Christian for the win.

Winner: Damien Sandow

- HBK is still walking around backstage paranoid. He runs into Brock Lesnar. Lesnar just stares him down and Shawn walks the other way. The contract signing is up next but Cole says Triple H still hasn't arrived.

- They hit the ring. We have that Similar setup for a contract signing with table and chairs. Heyman introduces himself as the advocate for Brock Lesnar. Heyman brings up Triple H's flight delays tonight. Heyman says they believe that story because nobody wants the SummerSlam match more than Triple H. Heyman says Triple H needs it because this is the most personal fight of his career. Heyman goes on about Triple H. Heyman has the contract for the SummerSlam match. Heyman won't allow Lesnar to be held legally responsible for what happens to Triple H. Heyman talks about how brutal the match will be.

Heyman brings up Shawn Michaels and how he is in the building. Heyman invites Shawn out to come tell Lesnar to his face that he thinks Triple H will win on Sunday. Heyman says HBK isn't coming out and he can't blame him. Heyman goes on and Shawn's music hits. Out he comes.

HBK comes out and grabs a mic but just has a staredown with Lesnar as the crowd chants. Triple H's music hits and out he comes in a suit. Triple H locks eyes with Lesnar and enters the ring. They meet at the table and stare each other down. The crowd chants mostly for Triple H. Triple H signs the contract first but keeps an eye on Lesnar. Lesnar signs next and tosses the clipboard at Triple H. Lesnar and Heyman go to the floor. Lesnar smiles at Triple H as he walks around the ring to the ramp. The crowd chants "you suck" at Heyman and Lesnar.

- We get some Tout videos from fans.

- Shawn Michaels is backstage with Triple H. Shawn says Brock is on a whole different level. Shawn says he will be there in Triple H's corner but Triple H alone must beat Lesnar. Shawn walks off.

- We go back to Cole and Lawler. They show us what happened with Punk, Show and Cena at the end of their match. Matt Striker catches up with Show backstage for comment. We hear a car accident and it's Shawn Michaels running into Paul Heyman's car. Heyman is apologizing when Lesnar runs over and pulls Shawn out of his car. The camera goes out and all we have is sound. Lesnar is saying he has a message for Triple H while beating Shawn up.

We get a look back at what just happened with Michaels, Heyman and Lesnar. We go back to the parking lot where Shawn's car is. Nobody knows where Heyman, Lesnar and Shawn is. WWE talents are looking everything over as Triple H walks up. AJ tells him they're gone and Triple H storms off. We go back to the announcers when Lesnar comes walking to the ring with Shawn on his shoulder. Lesnar puts Shawn in the ring as Heyman also enters.

Shawn stands up but Lesnar puts him back down with a F-5. Shawn rolls around in pain and tries to crawl up to Lesnar. Lesnar applies the Kimura Lock and here comes Triple H finally. Heyman tells Triple H to stop or Lesnar will break his arm. Triple H hesitates as Heyman keeps threatening him. Lesnar snaps HBK's arm back anyway and Triple H hits the ring. Lesnar flees and Triple H chases him around before going back in to check on Shawn. Lesnar joins Heyman at the top of the ramp and laughs. Trainers and Triple H check on Shawn and he's selling the arm injury. Triple H apologizes and Shawn says to get away from him. Lesnar teases that he's coming to the ring and Triple H gets ready. RAW goes off the air with Lesnar smiling from the stage.

WWE Raw Results – August 6, 2012 (08-06-2012)


- Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with the new intro video that debuted a few weeks back. We get a video looking back at last week where Big Show vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk was made for SummerSlam by General Manager AJ Lee. We go to the new RAW opening video.

- We’re live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas as Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. He’s joined by Jerry Lawler. Justin Roberts introduces General Manager AJ Lee and here she comes.

AJ announces Big Show vs. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena for tonight. AJ goes to make another announcement but is interrupted by WWE Champion CM Punk. Punk comes out with his normal hair style, not the different look he had over the weekend.

Punk says he lives with no regrets but is man enough to admit his mistakes. He did something last week he wishes he could take back but can’t. Punk says he lost his temper last week and is here to apologize to AJ. Punk apologizes to a mixed reaction from the crowd. AJ accepts the apology. Punk hopes they can continue to be friends. He says AJ is bound to fall flat on her face at times as GM and make mistakes – like last week when she put him in the SummerSlam match. Punk wants her to cancel the Triple Treat at SummerSlam. The crowd chants no. AJ says that match isn’t a mistake and her decision still stands. Punk asks if this is her getting back at him for turning down her wedding proposal. Punk brings up how everyone likes him and he gets some boos. Punk says he will wrestle Show or Cena in a singles match but doesn’t want the Triple Threat. The music hits and out comes John Cena.

Cena says Punk has become one of those guys. One of the guys who comes out and demands respect every week. Cena says you earn respect, not demand it. Cena goes on and stops to flirt some with AJ. Punk talks about how he won’t be disrespected by anyone. Cena says Punk likely won’t be the champion after SummerSlam. They go back and forth on the mic until Big Show comes out.

AJ gets upset and tells everyone to stop because she won’t allow things to get out of hand on her show. She reminds Cena and Show they have matches tonight. Punk says he should be in the main event. AJ says he is but she doesn’t know who the opponent is. She’s going to let the fans pick. Fans can vote on Twitter for The Miz, Kane or Rey Mysterio. Voting begins now because the match is up first. AJ’s music hits and she skips away as the announcers go over how to vote on Twitter. #PUNKREY, #PUNKKANE OR #PUNKMIZ are the options.

- Cole shows us footage from a few months back of Brock Lesnar and Triple H going at it in the ring. Still to come, Lesnar and Triple H appearing. We go to commercial.

CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio

Back from the break and Punk waits in the ring. Jerry Lawler makes the announcement and the opponent is Rey Mysterio.

They lock up and go to the corner before breaking. Rey goes for a takedown and works on Punk’s leg. They trade holds on the mat. Rey with kicks. Rey charges in the corner but Punk moves and he hits the ringpost. Punk with a pin attempt. Punk slams Rey and drops a leg for a 2 count. Punk with a scissors now. Rey fights out but Punk catches him in a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Punk with a backdrop and another pin attempt. Punk goes up top but Rey dropkicks him out to the floor. Rey leaps from the apron with a senton and takes Punk out. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Rey goes up top with forearm shots to the chest on Punk. Punk climbs up and they fight on the corner. Punk goes for a superplex and nails it but Rey kicks out at 2. Punk goes back to work on Rey’s leg and keeps him on the mat. Punk throws Rey under the bottom rope and to the floor. Rey fights his way back in and hits a senton from the top rope. Punk stops the comeback with kicks and rolls him up. Rey rolls through with a kick to the face for a 2 count. Punk goes for GTS but Rey fights out and hits 619. Punk blocks Rey and drops him with GTS for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

- Still to come tonight, Show vs. Orton and Cena vs. Bryan.

- We see Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez arriving backstage in a Ferrari. Del Rio seems angry as they head into the arena. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and they air a promo video for Wade Barrett’s return. It focuses on his background as a bareknuckle fighter. He says his barrage has just begun.

- Del Rio walks in AJ’s office and compliments her. Del Rio talks about not wanting to compete until SummerSlam. She says he’s not booked anyway and walks off. Del Rio runs his mouth and she comes back. AJ books Del Rio in a match and it’s up next. Del Rio orders Ricardo off to get his bags.

- They hype Shawn Michaels appearance for tonight. Another commercial.

Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio

Back from the break and Christian waits in the ring as Alberto Del Rio makes his way out. We see footage from last month where Del Rio attacked Sheamus with the hood of a car. The bell rings and they go at it. Christian takes Del Rio to the corner and works him over. Del Rio takes it to the floor and throws Christian around and into the barrier. Del Rio brings it back in for a 2 count and goes to work on the arm.

Christian tries to make a comeback but Del Rio shuts him down. Christian fights back with a big right hand and a forearm. Christian drops down with the big right hand from the floor. He goes up top for a crossbody and nails it for a 2 count. Del Rio blocks Killswitch and drops Christian on his arm for a 2 count. Del Rio works on the shoulder now. Del Rio runs and kicks Christian in the arm before going up top. He misses the back splash. Christian readies for a spear but Del Rio superkicks him in the mouth. More back and forth as Ricardo gets involved. Del Rio applies the armbreaker for the win.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

- After the match, Sheamus appears on the big screen. He’s backstage with Del Rio’s Ferrari. Ricardo left the keys in the car when he ran off to get Del Rio’s gear earlier. Sheamus says he’s going to drive around San Antonio and drives off in the Ferrari.

- Still to come, Orton vs. Show and that match is up next. Back to commercial.

Randy Orton vs. Big Show

Back from the break and out comes Randy Orton followed by Big Show. They lock up and Show shoves Orton to the match. Show takes Orton to the corner with big body blows. Show goes for a chop but Orton fires back with right hands into the other corner. Orton with a kick and a clothesline. Another clothesline in the corner. Orton mounts Show in the corner with right hands before getting shoved off. Show with a big sideslam that stops Orton’s momentum. Show steps on Orton and gets into it with the fans at ringside.

Show taunts Orton now. Orton tries to make a comeback but Show knocks him back down and keeps him grounded on the mat. Orton finally makes a comeback but has the RKO blocked. Show drops Orton with a big chokeslam for a close 2 count. Orton gets knocked out of the ring and Show follows. They brawl at ringside. Show connects with a huge chop to the chest. Show rolls Orton back in the ring and calls for the chokeslam. Orton blocks it but Show knocks him back out of the ring. Show with more big chops on the floor as the referee counts. Show scoops Orton but Orton slides out and shoves him into the ring post. Show blocks a RKO on the floor and nails a big spear. Both men are counted out. We go to replays as they recover on the floor.

- After the match, Show brings Orton back in the ring. Show goes for the knockout punch but Orton ducks and lays him out with the RKO.

- We get a look back at RAW 1000 where Triple H and Lesnar brawled. Both men are in the building tonight, the announcers hype. Also still to come, Shawn Michaels will appear live. Back to commercial.

Ryback vs. Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins

Back from the break and Tyler Reks is waiting in the ring with his partner Curt Hawkins. Ryback is out next. We get a side video of him talking about being hungry. He welcomes Reks and Hawkins to the food chain and says feed me more. Reks starts the match off for his team. He makes some offense but Ryback scoops him and slams. Reks turns it around long enough to tag in Hawkins. Hawkins comes in and catches a big boot. Hawkins tags Reks back in. Ryback pulls him into the ring. Hawkins distracts Ryback. He turns around to big boots and a clothesline from Reks for a 1 count.

More quick tags and offense by Reks and Hawkins. Hawkins with another pin attempt after some double teaming. Ryback dumps Hawkins out to the floor on top of Reks. Hawkins comes back in and gets dropped on his back. Ryback nails the huge clothesline on Hawkins and then the Shellshocked for the win.

Winner: Ryback

Primo and Epico vs. Titus O’Neil and Darren Young

Back from the break and both teams are in the ring. AW gives his team a grand introduction and yes, he’s mic’d up again this week. Epico dropkicks Young before the bell rings. Titus starts things off with Primo and lays him out. Young tags in and they double team. Primo turns it around on Young for a 2 count. Titus comes back in and keeps the attack on Young.

Epico comes in and goes at it with Young. Epico with dropkicks for both men and a backdrop on Young. Epico hits a trio of backdrops and Titus pulls Young out of the ring for the save. AW backs his team up the ramp until Kofi Kingston’s music hits and out he comes with partner R-Truth. Primo and Epico take advantage and bring the fight back to the ring. Epico with a Backstabber on Young for the win.

Winners: Primo and Epico

- We get a look back at RAW 1000 where DX laid out Damien Sandow. We see footage from last week where Sandow took out his frustrations on Brodus Clay. Sandow is walking backstage when Josh Mathews asks for comment about last week. Sandow says he’s obligated to rid WWE of all foolishness. Sandow vs. Clay is next.

Brodus Clay vs. Damien Sandow

Back from the break and out comes Brodus Clay with Naomi and Cameron. Clay dance son the stage but is attacked from behind by Damien Sandow. Sandow beats Clay off the ramp and to the side of the stage. Clay tries to fight back but can’t. Sandow works on the leg and appears to have injured Clay. Officials tend to Clay as we go to replays. Sandow smiles as he looks down from the ramp and taunts Clay.

- AJ is backstage in deep thought. The camera pans and we see Daniel Bryan sitting there. She says he has definite anger management issues, despite what the shrink said last week. Bryan says he’s calm now and agrees with her decision to face Cena tonight. Bryan wants the SummerSlam match changed to a Fatal 4 Way. She says he already has a SummerSlam match against Kane. Bryan gets up and yells no while AJ responds with a yes. Bryan storms off and we go back to commercial.

Kelly Kelly vs. Eve Torres

Back from the break and out comes Kelly Kelly making her return. Eve Torres is out next and apparently she was put in the match by AJ. Eve runs her mouth and pushes Kelly out of the way. Eve goes to leave the ring but Kelly brings her back in and goes to work. Kelly drops Eve in the corner and comes in with the elbow. Kelly’s stinkface sends Eve out to the floor. Eve looks to leave again but Kelly stops her. Kelly whips Eve into the barrier and she lands hard. Kelly brings it back in the ring and climbs up top. Kelly hits the crossbody but Eve kicks out at 2.

Eve makes a comeback. Kelly tries to turn it around but gets dropped on her face. Eve with a choke in the corner now. Eve takes Kelly to the mat with a headlock now. Kelly makes another comeback and this time gets the win.

Winner: Kelly Kelly

- We see footage from earlier where Sheamus took Del Rio’s Ferrari.

- More hype for Triple H and Brock Lesnar tonight. Plus, Shawn Michaels appears. Back to commercial.

- Back from commercial and out comes WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels to a big pop from the hometown crowd.

Shawn thanks the fans for allowing him to be part of history once again – RAW 1000. He talks about the DX reunion, calling it priceless. Shawn says he’s just fine on his ranch but when he heard RAW was coming to San Antonio, there was no way he could miss it. Shawn says the more things change, the more they stay the same. He talks about new faces backstage but the one thing that’s the same is the talk. Shawn says everyone is talking about the confrontation at SummerSlam between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Lesnar’s music interrupts and out he comes with Paul Heyman.

Heyman takes the mic and says everyone wants to know Shawn’s opinion of the match. Heyman calls Shawn the greatest in-ring entertainer in WWE history. Heyman says Lesnar isn’t going to SummerSlam as an entertainer. He’s not going to entertain with Triple H. Brock doesn’t care about entertaining. Lesnar is going to SummerSlam to fight Triple H and to prove once again that he’s the baddest dude on the planet today, Heyman says. The crowd chants for HBK.

Shawn says he’s not here to dispute the attributes of Lesnar. Heyman chimes in but Shawn tells him not to put words in his mouth. Shawn says Triple H is acting like someone he doesn’t even know anymore. Shawn says on this day, he’s going with Triple H as the winner and he believes that so much he wants to be there and see it personally. Shawn announces he will be in Triple H’s corner at SummerSlam to watch Triple H defeat Brock Lesnar. Heyman tells Lesnar that’s the big announcement that they will replay when they look back at Triple H’s career. Heyman says it’s bad enough that Triple H’s wife and kids have to witness what Lesnar is going to do. Lesnar cuts Heyman off and takes the mic. Lesnar says the only reason Shawn thinks Triple H will win is because he’s never been in the ring with him. Until now. Lesnar drops the mic and approaches Shawn. Triple H’s music hits and out he comes ready to fight.

Heyman moves to the apron as Lesnar gets ready to fight. Triple H stands beside Shawn and also gets ready. Lesnar laughs and takes the mic. He points at Triple H and tells him he will see him at SummerSlam. Lesnar points at Shawn next and says he will see him before then. Lesnar leaves the ring with Heyman as Triple H and HBK look on. The crowd chants “you suck” as Lesnar smiles back at the ring.

- We get another look back at Sheamus taking Del Rio’s Ferrari earlier tonight. Cole shows us a Tout video from Sheamus where he’s out enjoying Del Rio’s car around San Antonio. Back to commercial.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Alex Riley

Back from the break and Alex Riley is in the ring. Chris Jericho joins commentary and he’s wearing a Ziggler t-shirt. Vickie Guerrero is out next to do the introduction of Dolph Ziggler.

Back and forth to start the match. Riley with an early pin attempt and a big arm drag. Ziggler turns things around in the corner and beats Riley down. Ziggler keeps control and taunts Jericho at ringside. Riley makes a comeback but gets dropkicked. Ziggler with a 2 count. They go on with more back and forth action. The end comes when Riley rolls him up for the upset.

Winner: Alex Riley

- After the match, Jericho films a Tout video at ringside and taunts Ziggler. Cole gets a tweet from AJ Lee that announces Kane vs. The Miz for tonight. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and we get another Tout video from Sheamus with Del Rio’s Ferrari. Apparently he got a ticket.

Kane vs. The Miz

We go to the ring and out first comes Kane. WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is out next.

The match starts and they go at it. Miz goes for Kane’s knee and takes him down. Miz with more offense and a DDT for a close 2 count. Miz takes Kane to the corner and stomps away. Kane comes out of the corner with big right hands but Miz takes the knee out again. Miz with a kick to the head for a 2 count. Kane makes a comeback and scoop slams Miz. Kane with a 2 count after a kick to the head. Miz goes for Skull Crushing Finale but Kane blocks it. Kane drops Miz in the corner on his face and nails the chokeslam for the win.

Winner: Kane

- Back from the break and Sheamus has pulled up with the Ferrari and it’s trashed.

Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena

We go to the ring and out comes Daniel Bryan for tonight’s main event. We see Del Rio and Ricardo backstage finding the trashed Ferrari. Del Rio blames it on Ricardo and leaves him to clean the mess up. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and The Highlight Reel is announced for SmackDown. Chris Jericho’s guests will be Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. John Cena’s music hits and out he comes.

They lock up and Cena goes for a headlock. They lock up again and go to the ropes before breaking. Dueling chants for Cena as Bryan yells at the crowd. Bryan goes to ringside and yells at the fans some more. Bryan comes in and Cena takes him down for a headlock. More back and forth but Cena keeps control. Bryan works on Cena’s arm now. Cena powers out but Bryan escapes to the floor. Cena chases him around the ring and back in. Bryan meets him with a dropkick to the leg and Cena falls back to the floor and hits the fan barrier. Bryan runs from the apron and hits Cena in the head with a knee. Bryan yells more with fans at ringside as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Bryan is still in control of Cena. Bryan with a big dropkick in the corner for a 2 count. Cena finally looks to turn it around with a back drop. Bryan drops Cena in the corner and kicks him in the gut for another pin attempt. Cena finally makes a comeback and hits the usual moves. He hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Bryan blocks the Attitude Adjustment and locks in a submission. Cena powers back and slams Bryan in the corner to break the hold. Cena goes for the STF but Bryan fights him off. Bryan rolls Cena up for a close 2 count.

Bryan with a big kick to the head and another 2 count. Bryan climbs to the top and nails a flying headbutt for 2. Bryan kicks Cena as he sits on his knees now. Cena locks in the STF out of nowhere but Bryan breaks it and goes for the No Lock but can’t get it. Cena powers Bryan up and slams him with the AA for the win.

Winner: John Cena

- After the match, CM Punk’s music hits and out comes the WWE Champion. Punk hits the ring where Cena waits. Punk holds up the WWE Title. Cena points at it and here comes Big Show. Cena sees him first and pushes Punk out of the way. Cena goes at it with Show and blocks a chokeslam. Cena scoops Show for an AA but Punk gets up and knocks them both over. Cena grabs a headset on commentary and says maybe it’s his fault that people have disrespected him because he let them. Punk says he’s been smiling, kissing babies and making people happy but from here on out, he does what he does best. RAW ends the same way the last two did, the WWE Champion standing tall and proving that he’s the best wrestler in the world, Punk declares. Punk goes back in the ring and tries to kick Big Show but Show lays him out with a knockout punch. Cena gets up and Show knocks him out also. Show gets hype and raises the WWE Title. Show’s music hits as he puts the belt over his shoulder and we go to replays. RAW goes off the air with Show holding the WWE Title up high.

- Tonight’s WWE RAW kicks off with the new intro video that debuted on last week’s 1,000th episode. We’re live from the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio as Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. Fans are still coming in because of a fire that happened inside the arena earlier. Jerry Lawler shows footage of the RAW set catching on fire earlier this evening after a pyro glitch.

- Cole leads us into a video package looking back at RAW 1000.

- The video runs for about 5 minutes and we come back to WWE Champion CM Punk coming to the ring. Punk makes his way out to a positive reaction from the crowd.

Punk says he had a RAW moment last week bigger than most people’s WrestleMania moments. He wants to explain something before he gets into why he did what he did to The Rock. Punk says the way RAW 1000 went off the air left a bad taste in his mouth. Punk brings up Lawler’s quote – “CM Punk has turned his back on the WWE Universe.” Punk goes to ringside where Lawler is seated. Punk sits the WWE Title on the announcers table and sits cross legged on top of it, in front of Lawler. Punk says he is used to bad commentary but asks how Lawler jumped to such a bad conclusion. Punk says if anything, Lawler turned his back on Punk because the last time he checked, The Rock wasn’t the WWE Universe. Punk calls Rock an extremely charismatic, deranged movie star. Punk says Rock disrespected him. Punk says Rock acted like he was invisible when he went into his tired schtick on Daniel Bryan. Punk says Rock is lucky he didn’t hurt him right then and there when he was first disrespected. Punk says Rock tried to make RAW 1000 all about him and that’s when Punk showed him the kind of man he will be dealing with at Royal Rumble. Punk says this isn’t ballet, this is WWE and he is it’s champion. Punk is still seated in front of Lawler on the table. Punk brings up how Rock has been quiet for a week. Punk accuses Lawler of having an agenda and spinning it. Punk says he ended RAW 1000 like every issue should end – with the spotlight on the WWE Champion, the best wrestler in the world. Big Show’s music hits and out he comes.

Punk says Show must have came to steal the spotlight too. Show says the end of RAW 1000 was actually all about him. Show says he’s the one who cost John Cena the WWE Title and caused him to fail at cashing in Money in the Bank. Show says he knocked out Cena and Punk still couldn’t beat him. Show says Punk would have tapped out in the STF if it weren’t for him. Show says the only reason Punk is still WWE Champion is because of him. Show vows that he will be the next WWE Champion. The crowd boos and Punk laughs at him. Punk says he is the only one winning anything between them two. John Cena’s music hits and out he comes running to the ring. Cena unloads on Big Show as Punk watches. Show pushes him away and rolls out of the ring. Cena is hype as Show looks on from the floor and Punk leans against the ropes watching, shaking his head. Justin Roberts introduces AJ Lee and out comes the General Manager.

For tonight’s main event, AJ announces Show vs. Cena with the winner facing CM Punk at SummerSlam. AJ leaves as everyone has words.

Santino Marella vs. Alberto Del Rio

We go to the ring and out comes the WWE United States Champion Santino Marella. Ricardo Rodriguez begins the introduction for Alberto Del Rio and out he comes for a non-title match. Del Rio’s car wasn’t allowed in the building because of the fire that happened earlier.

The bell rings and they go at it until Del Rio drops Santino and works him over, taking control. Santino fights back but Del Rio suplexes him and stomps some more. Del Rio with kicks in the corner now. Santino makes a comeback and sends Del Rio out to the floor with a dropkick. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Del Rio is working on the arm. Santino fights out of a hold and tries for a comeback but gets beat back down. Del Rio goes back to work on the arm now. Santino fights out with a suplex and then right hands. Santino drops with the split but Del Rio kicks him in the head. Santino comes back again and pulls out the Cobra. Del Rio blocks it and throws Santino shoulder first into the ring post. Del Rio with an armbreaker and then the submission for the win.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

- After the match, Del Rio stands over Santino and says he just destroyed the US Champion like it was nothing. Del Rio says Santino is beneath him as is Sheamus and all of the fans. Del Rio says from now on, he will not compete unless it’s a World Heavyweight Title match so he says he won’t be wrestling until SummerSlam.

- Back from the break and Brodus Clay is in the ring dancing with Cameron and Naomi. Vickie Guerrero comes out running her mouth. She tells them to step aside and has some old school hip-hop played. Vickie starts dancing but is interrupted by Damien Sandow. Sandow says a horrible crime was committed against humanity last week. He shows us footage of DX beating him up at RAW 1000. Sandow just attacks Clay and takes his leg out. Sandow beats Clay down and hits him with a bunch of knees. Sandow continues the assault and rips Clay’s necklace. Sandow poses as his music hits and Cole plays up the fact that Sandow has snapped.

- We get a look back at Dolph Ziggler and Chris Jericho getting into it 2 weeks ago. They also show Ziggler teasing a cash in on SmackDown and Jericho throwing him into the ring for a Brogue Kick from Sheamus. Jericho then hit Ziggler with a Codebreaker, while wearing a Ziggler t-shirt. Announced for later tonight is Christian and Jericho vs. Miz and Ziggler. Back to commercial.

- Back from commercial and Bryan walks into AJ’s office. He asks her if she’s insane for embarrassing him and leaving him at the altar last week. She tells him to shut up. She’s not his bride to be anymore… she’s his boss. AJ says she saw some “groomsmen” who looked like they were from a mental hospital. She wonders if he was marrying her just to have her legally committed. She’s booked him in a match against Sheamus tonight. Bryan asks if it’s for the World Title and she says no. AJ chants “no” in Bryan’s face and he storms off.

- We get a look back at RAW 1000 with Triple H and Brock Lesnar going at it.

- Cole and Lawler tell fans to go on Twitter and vote for what kind of match Sheamus vs. Bryan will be for tonight – a No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere or a Street Fight. Josh Mathews catches up with Sheamus backstage. He likes how AJ has put the match in the fans hands. Sheamus asks Mathews is he’s alright and says he’s been acting a bit off. Mathews looks confused as Sheamus tells him to relax and take it easy before walking off. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Cole show footage of the arena fire from earlier again.

Street Fight: Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus

We go to the ring and out comes Daniel Bryan first. Bryan takes a mic and demands the fans stop chanting yes. He says only he is allowed to chant it. Out next comes the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus for a non-title match. It’s announced by Jerry Lawler that the match will be a Street Fight with 73% of the vote. The match starts and they go at it back and forth. Sheamus catches Bryan with a huge powerslam for a pin attempt. Sheamus with knees to the back now.

Bryan drops Sheamus into the turnbuckle and takes control of the match. Bryan works on the shoulder now. Sheamus comes back with a big shoulder and knocks Bryan down. Sheamus drops more knees for a 2 count. Bryan rolls out to the floor and Sheamus follows. Sheamus tosses him into the fan barrier a few times. Bryan gets dropped on the steel ramp as they fight up to the stage. Sheamus slams Bryan head first into the big W. Sheamus goes for White Noise but Bryan blocks it and kicks Sheamus while he’s on his knees. Bryan runs and dropkicks Sheamus from the stage to the concrete. Sheamus clutches his ankle but gets up. Bryan leaps off the stage with a knee to the face and Sheamus goes back down as we take another commercial break.

Back from the break and Bryan has Sheamus down in the ring, working on his shoulder. Sheamus fights out but Bryan stops the comeback with a knee to the gut. Bryan knocks Sheamus back to the floor. Bryan leaps off the apron but Sheamus catches him and tosses him into the barrier. Sheamus puts Bryan on the barrier and hits him with a series of big forearm shots to the chest. Sheamus suplexes Bryan back on the floor and brings it in the ring. Sheamus throws in a kendo stick and steel chair but Bryan slides them back out of the ring. Sheamus clotheslines him back to the floor. Sheamus comes out but gets smacked in the head with a kendo stick. Bryan comes in the ring with more kendo shots, beating Sheamus down in the corner.

Sheamus stops Bryan with headbutts and gets the kendo stick. Sheamus wails away with it but Bryan dropkicks him back into the steel chair that he wedged in the corner. Bryan with a 2 count. They go back to the floor to brawl. Sheamus takes apart the steel steps and goes to slam Bryan on them. He blocks it but Sheamus catches him for White Noise. Bryan blocks that and rams Sheamus shoulder first into the ring post. Bryan picks up the steps and slides them in the ring. Bryan tosses Sheamus into the fan barrier again. Bryan brings him in the ring and they fight for the kendo stick. Sheamus scoops Bryan for White Noise on top of the steps but Bryan blocks it. Sheamus lays him out on top of the steps with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus covers for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

- The feed has a technical glitch before Cole shows us CM Punk speaking to Jerry Lawler earlier tonight. Still to come tonight, Show vs. Cena. We take another commercial break.

- Back from the break and Bryan is down in the ring with referees. He’s yelling that he won’t leave the ring until he gets a doctor. Bryan continues throwing a fit as Cole shows us footage of CM Punk John Cena and Big Show from earlier tonight.

- Bryan finally gets a doctor to come in as the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth come out. Kofi tells Bryan to do everyone a favor and just leave. Truth says they have business to handle. Bryan introduces himself to Little Jimmy and then kicks the little guy out of the ring. Truth runs out of the ring to check on Little Jimmy. Bryan ridicules him for consoling an invisible child. Bryan’s guys in white suits come out. They’re here to take Truth away for being crazy. GM AJ comes out and says Truth isn’t the one who needs help, Bryan is. She says he seems mentally unstable tonight and in the interest of a safe working environment, Bryan needs a psychiatric evaluation. AJ has Bryan escorted out of the ring by the guys in white suits. Bryan confronts AJ on the stage and just stares at her before walking off to the back with the guys in white around him. Back to commercial.

- It’s announced that Vince McMahon will be on SmackDown to name a new General Manager.

Kofi Kingston vs. Titus O’Neil

R-Truth and Little Jimmy sit at ringside as Kofi Kingston waits in the ring. They air some fan videos from Tout. AW comes out next to introduce Titus O’Neil and Darren Young. It’s Titus vs. Kofi here.

Back and forth to start the match. AW is mic’d up again so we have to hear him. AW makes a reference to the Kobe Bryant rape case from Colorado. Kofi comes back and drops Titus on his face after being down for a few minutes. Kofi fights back with chops and a big dropkick to the jaw. Kofi with another big shot and then the Boom Drop. Young gets on the apron but Truth lays him out. AW gets on the apron and throws his shoe at Kofi. AW runs off as Kofi throws the shoe back at him. Kofi turns around to a big slam from Titus for the win.

Winner: Titus O’Neil

- John Cena is backstage with CM Punk. Punk talks about the #1 contender match tonight. He says Cena is mad because he did to The Rock in one night what he couldn’t do in a year. Punk tells Cena to get over it and get ready. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Cole says that they apologize for comments he made during the last match – the reference to the Kobe Bryant rape case.

Heath Slater vs. Randy Orton

Heath Slater is in the ring as we get a look back at his segment with the Legends at RAW 1000. Slater says the Legends have finally gone back to the retirement home so he can get his career back on track. Slater challenges any current WWE Superstar and here comes Randy Orton making his return.

The match starts and Slater takes Orton to the corner with offense. The referee backs him off as Slater unloads. Slater shows off and turns around to big clotheslines from Orton. Orton hits the powerslam and takes Slater to the apron for the second rope draping DDT. Orton drops to the mat and lays Slater out with a RKO for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

- Daniel Bryan is backstage talking to someone. He says his neck hurts and we see the doctor. He asks Bryan questions and Bryan answers them all with yes. Bryan interrupts the doctor and just goes on a wild “yes” chanting spree.

Chris Jericho and Christian vs. The Miz and Dolph Ziggler

Back from the break and out first comes Chris Jericho followed by his partner Christian. Out next comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz followed by his partner Dolph Ziggler with Vickie Guerrero and his Money in the Bank briefcase.

Ziggler starts things off with Christian and they go at it. Christian with an early pin attempt but Ziggler comes back. Miz comes in but Christian unloads on him and sends him right back to Ziggler for the tag. They lock up again and Jericho tags in as does Miz. Jericho drops Miz with a clothesline for 1. Jericho slams Miz and drops an elbow for another pin attempt. Ziggler comes back in and goes at it with Jericho. Jericho dumps him to the floor and tosses Miz over also. Christian goes to the top and leaps out onto both of them. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Jericho goes at it with Miz in the ring. Jericho with a 2 count. Miz comes back with a clothesline and a 2 count of his own. Miz with a headlock now. Jericho breaks free with a backdrop and makes the tag to Christian as Ziggler comes in. Christian unloads and hits the big drop down right hand. Christian with the elbow from the second rope. He goes for Killswitch but Ziggler blocks it. Christian with a roll up for 2. Christian fights off Miz in the corner but gets dropkicked by Ziggler for another 2 count. Miz comes back in and stomps away for another 2 count. Miz keeps control for another pin attempt. Christian ends up dumping Miz out to the floor again.

Miz stops Jericho from tagging and they double team Christian. Miz with a 2 count. Ziggler tags in for more double teaming. Ziggler with an elbow drop and another 2 count. Ziggler keeps Christian down on the mat as Vickie screams at ringside. Christian breaks free from a headlock but gets dropped with a neckbreaker by Ziggler. Ziggler misses the big leg drop but takes Christian to the corner for more offense. Christian finally takes Ziggler down and goes for the tag. Jericho comes in and unloads on Miz. Jericho dropkicks Ziggler from the apron to the floor and drops Miz with a bulldog. Jericho with a Lionsault on Miz for 2 as Ziggler makes the save. Christian spears Ziggler but Miz throws him into the ring post. Jericho with the Walls of Jericho on Miz but he counters it. Miz with a kick to the face. Jericho blocks Skull Crushing Finale and hits the Codebreaker for the win.

Winners: Christian and Chris Jericho

- After the match, Ziggler lays out Jericho with a briefcase shot to the head. Ziggler stands over Jericho and stares for a minute before leaving up the ramp with Vickie.

- We get another look back at the arena fire from earlier tonight before RAW hit the air.

- Another segment with Daniel Bryan and the psychiatrist backstage. They’re looking at pictures and one of them is made to look like a goat face. Bryan says the only goat about him is that he’s the greatest of all-time. Bryan asks the doctor if Charlie Sheen put him up to this. Bryan says if Sheen’s watching, then he is the one winning, not Sheen. Back to commercial.

Tensai vs. Tyson Kidd

Back from the break and Tensai comes out to wait on Tyson Kidd. We get a look back at Kidd beating Tensai last month. Kidd strikes first with kicks but gets dropped with a big shoulder. Tensai with a splash in the corner and a big slingshot under the second rope. Tensai with a few elbow drops and strikes to the back of the head. Tensai applies the claw hold now and we see Kidd is bleeding from the head a bit.

Kidd tries for a comeback and rolls Tensai up for 2. Kidd with a big kick and a blockbuster from the top for a 2 count. Tensai comes out of nowhere with a big slam and backsplash for the win.

Winner: Tensai

- After the match, Tensai picks Kidd up for a pair of big clotheslines. He drop elbows as the referee tells him to back off. Tensai drops Kidd with a big backbreaker as Sakamoto looks on from the corner. The referee reverses his decision and Kiss wins by DQ.

Winner by DQ: Tyson Kidd

- Tensai goes back after Kidd but officials back him off. Tensai looks around and tells Sakamoto to come to him. Tensai takes out his anger on Sakamoto and slaps him to the mat. Tensai dumps Sakamoto out to the floor.

- Another segment with Bryan and the doctor. The doctor finds him to have a weird obsession with Charlie Sheen but he is indeed 100% sane. Bryan is free to go. The red light comes on and in comes Kane. Kane says he’s Bryan’s anger management therapist. Kane slams Bryan into the walls and leaves him laying. Back to commercial.

- Lawler and Cole hype SummerSlam and we get another look at the segment Triple H and Brock Lesnar from RAW 1000.

Big Show vs. John Cena

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Champion CM Punk for commentary. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes Big Show. Show goes to ringside and has some words with Punk. John Cena is out next and the winner of this one will face Punk for the WWE Title at SummerSlam.

The bell rings and they go at it. Show knocks Cena to the mat first. Show takes it to the corners and drops Cena with a big back splash. Show slowly beats Cena around with headbutts. Punk rips on Lawler and calls his commentary awful. Cena finally fights back and jumps on Show’s back with a sleeper. Show slams Cena back in the corner. Cena leaps off the ropes but Show catches him in a bearhug. Cena counters with another sleeper hold.

Punk continues to have words with Lawler on commentary as Cena brings Show to one knee with the sleeper. Show goes down and Cena gets a 2 count. We take another commercial break.

Back from the break and Cena fights back but Show knocks him out of the air. Show stands on Cena and runs his mouth to the fans. Show with another back splash in the corner. Show whips Cena into another corner but runs into boots. Cena with a bulldog. Cena tries to make another comeback but Show catches him in midair with another bearhug. Cena fights out and scoops Show but Show falls on top of him for a 2 count. Show calls for a chokeslam but Cena counters it with a DDT. Show catches Cena with a big sideslam. Show goes to the second rope for a big splash but Cena moves out of the way. Cena comes back with a shoulder and a back drop. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Show catches him with a chokeslam out of nowhere for a close 2 count. Show brings Cena back in the ring and knocks him right back out. Cena shoves Show into the ringpost. They fight at ringside and Cena gets launched into Punk and they both go down. Cena makes it back into the ring before the 10 count where Show waits. Cena finally goes for the Attitude Adjustment on Show but Punk makes the save. Punk then kicks Show in the face and lays him out. Punk takes a mic and announces that there is no winner. Punk leaves the ring and heads to the back when AJ comes out. She says both men are winners and Punk will defend at SummerSlam against Show and Cena in a Triple Threat. Punk comes back out and argues with AJ. RAW goes off the air with Punk demanding respect from AJ.
