12-5 : WWE RAW SupershoW Results : CM Punk sets the Tables For TLC

12-06: WWE Raw SuperShow results: CM Punk sets the table for WWE TLC

TAMPA, Fla. — Dubbing himself "Mr. Excitement," Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis sent John Cena, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio and United States Champion Dolph Ziggler into action to decide who would face WWE Champion CM Punk at WWE TLC in two weeks.

WWE Champion CM Punk, Alberto Del Rio and The Miz signed a contract for their WWE TLC bout
Now that the combatants for WWE TLC’s WWE Title Match were set, the Interim Raw General Manager upped the ante by making the bout a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. Although it is one of WWE’s most career-threatening bouts, all three Superstars eagerly signed the contract before attacking each other in an all-out brawl. As officials hit the ring to try to break up the melee, the WWE Universe cheered wildly, knowing they will see one hell of a match in two weeks.

After rudely telling Jack Swagger to stay in the locker room during this bout, (WATCH) the United States Champion brought the fight to The Celtic Warrior for an opportunity to face WWE Champion CM Punk at WWE TLC. The cocky Superstar came close to victory, but he had it snatched from him by Zack Ryder, who injected himself into the match to remind Ziggler that they will be meeting for the United States Title soon.

Following the announcement that Kevin Nash will face Triple H at WWE TLC in a Ladder Match with a sledgehammer hanging above the ring, (MATCH PREVIEW) the big man brought the dangerous weapon into the squared circle after he beat Santino. But instead of plastering The Milan Miracle with the foreign object, Nash scared his opponent and then walked away with the sledgehammer hoisted above his head like a prize.

After John Cena agreed to forfeit his WWE Championship opportunity at WWE TLC if Zack Ryder was given a second chance, John Laurinaitis scheduled this bout with obvious intentions to see Long Island Iced-Z crushed. But what seemed like an insurmountable obstacle for The “Woo Woo Woo Kid” soon turned to triumph as the Cenation leader blasted Mark Henry with an Attitude Adjustment in this no count-out, no disqualification match to help Ryder score the win. The spray-tanned Superstar now has a future United States Title Match against Dolph Ziggler.

Although they’re good friends outside of the ring, John Cena and Zack Ryder were forced to battle tonight as a part of a “social experiment” concocted by John Laurinaitis. (WATCH) If Ryder won this bout, he would earn a future United States Title opportunity. If Cena was victorious, he would compete for the WWE Title at WWE TLC. With stakes high, both Superstars battled with everything they had, but it was the Cenation leader who grabbed the victory. Still, even with the win, the powerful competitor didn’t look happy as he exited.

Kelly Kelly & Eve def. Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya (WATCH | PHOTOS)1311399852001|01:37
The “pin-up strong” pair of Divas Champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya have thrived by torturing Kelly Kelly & Eve, but the wicked duo couldn't push around the so-called "Barbie Dolls" tonight. Rolling up her powerful rival out of nowhere, Kelly scored a huge tag victory for her team and sent the arrogant Divas a message that a pretty face should never be underestimated.

Still favoring his ribs following his hellish encounter with World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry on SmackDown, the gutsy Daniel Bryan bravely faced The Mexican Aristocrat, but was too vulnerable to combat the crossarm breaker. With this victory, Alberto Del Rio qualified for a WWE Championship opportunity at WWE TLC.

The Miz def. Randy Orton by Count-out (WATCH | PHOTOS)1311367389001|02:51
The Awesome One will be competing for the WWE Title at WWE TLC and he has Wade Barrett to thank for it. In the middle of The Miz’s showdown with The Viper, the aggressive British Superstar entered the fray and distracted Orton on the outside of the ring, which led to WWE’s Apex Predator being counted out. When Orton turned his attention back to Miz, he was attacked from behind by the underhanded Barrett.

John Cena, U.S. Champion Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and The Miz argued over who deserves to face WWE Champion CM Punk (PHOTOS)
Everyone wants to hold the WWE Title, but which Superstar deserves to face WWE Champion CM Punk? That’s what Interim Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis had to decide when he broke up the bickering of John Cena, United States Champion Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio and The Miz.

Proving that he’s not as dull as The Straight Edge Superstar says he is, the executive came up with this decision — Miz, Ziggler and Del Rio would compete against SmackDown Superstars tonight and if they win, they will be entered in the WWE Championship Match at WWE TLC in two weeks. Cena, on the other hand, would undergo a “social experiment” that the GM had dreamt up.

Kevin Nash Says He’ll Be On WWE RAW Tomorrow

In a Twitter posting this evening, Kevin Nash noted that he is “packing [his] wrestling gear” for tomorrow night’s broadcast of RAW from Tampa, Florida. “Made up my mind, packing my wresteling gear. Someones getting a beat down in Tampa tomorrow night on Raw,” he wrote today.

Both Nash and Triple H were scheduled for tomorrow’s RAW as of this weekend, but the latter of the two has since been pulled from advertising of the show among speculation that their planned match at the TLC pay-per-view has been scrapped or delayed until 2012.

Ex-WWE Diva Maria Kanellis Takes A Shot At The Bella Twins

During AfterBuzzTV.com’s post-show for Monday’s Raw SuperShow, former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis took a Triple H-like swipe at former colleagues Nikki and Brie Bella.

Former WWE creative writer Jensen Karp recalled producing a backstage segment involving the word “labiagytis” (on the May 1, 2006 Raw, Candice Michelle asked Vince McMahon in he could cure her labiagytis after he had cured her chest cold). While the program hosts segued to discussion over the Divas tag team match on Raw, Kanellis quipped, “Speaking of labiagytis, The Bellas…”

Kanellis then joked that she was merely kidding, but that she “couldn’t help it.”

This is not Kanellis’ first swipe towards the twin duo on the discussion program as she implied on October 10, 2011 that they once shared a hot tub with John Laurinaitis, referring them as “two Divas who look alike.” She took another veiled shot at the Bellas’ promiscuity the following week, which featured Nikki and Brie flirting with WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent Relations in a backstage segment.

While segueing, Kanellis said, “And the Bella Twins were in the back with Johnny, moving on…”

New Bella Twins/Alberto Del Rio Storyline?, WWE ’12 Video Game Sales, Rock

WWE’s website features a new article on The Bella Twins getting romantic with Alberto Del Rio. The twins tease that they will have to get rid of Ricardo Rodriguez because he always gets in the way. Brie Bella won a chance to kiss any Superstar she wants on last week’s SmackDown in the Mistletoe Match.

F4WOnline.com is reporting that the WWE ’12 video game has sold roughly 350,000 copies in North America thus far.

WrestleMania 28 participant, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has begun filming his new movie Snitch this weekend.

John Morrison WWE Contract Clarification, Triple H Pulled From Tomorrow’s RAW

In an update to John Morrison’s contract, PWInsider.com reports that he doesn’t have a no-compete clause in his contract and is therefore free to join any promotion he would like.

Advertised for tomorrow’s WWE RAW broadcast from Tampa, Florida is John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio vs CM Punk in a WWE Championship dark match as well as a 41-man battle royal. Triple H, who was originally scheduled for the show, is no longer being advertised. This tidbit suggests that as reported previously, the Triple H vs Kevin Nash feud may have been sidelined or delayed for now.

Backstage Talk Of Changing Look Of WWE Title, Cody Rhodes & Booker T Wrestle

In an update to the tweet that John Cena sent last week noting that the WWE Championship template should be changed, along with a WWE.com story being published, the Wrestling Globe reports that there is talk backstage of indeed changing the look of the championship. One hesitation, however, is that the current belt remains a hot-seller within the company, but not as popular as when it was first introduced under John Cena in 2007.

Cody Rhodes and Booker T wrestled twice over the weekend at the Friday and Saturday SmackDown! live events. Booker T ended up winning both bouts via disqualification when Rhodes ended the match after hit Booker with his Intercontinental Title. Hornswoggle then came out to the ring and hit a Tadpole Splash on Booker and did the spin-a-roonie with Booker.

Mick Foley Interview: Returning To The Ring, The Rock vs John Cena, WWE ’12

http://wrestleheat.com/wp-admin/media-upload.php?type=image&tab=library&post_id=12003&post_mime_type=&s=mick&m=0#Mick Foley, who has been making the media rounds as of late, recently spoke to Jon Robinson of ESPN on Friday to promote the WWE ’12 video game. Foley once again talks about a possible return to the ring, his recent return to WWE, and The Rock vs John Cena at WrestleMania 28. Below are a few highlightS:

Jon Robinson: I asked about your legacy living on in video games, but when you back throughout your career, what do you think is the legacy you left in the world of professional wrestling?

Mick Foley: Most people would say it’s the Hell in a Cell match from 1998. The fact that I’m still being asked about it on a daily basis means that it’s not going away anytime soon. But hopefully in the locker room, I’m remembered for treating other people well, and for how inside the ring I was a guy who worked hard and exceeded expectations.

Jon Robinson: Are you excited to be back in the WWE mix and making appearances for the company?

Mick Foley: Yeah, I’m very excited about it. The other night I was on Raw as Santa Claus, then the next night I was hosting Smackdown. I think WWE has a lot of ways to utilize a guy like me without taking up too much television time on a weekly basis or doing any wrestling at all.

Jon Robinson: Are you hoping for one last big match at Wrestlemania, or are you officially done wrestling at this point in your life?

Mick Foley: Well, I’ve learned to never say never. I said never back in 2000 and realized that’s a tough promise to keep. I’ve noticed, especially in the last few weeks, that there are so many good, young performers in WWE who are all hitting their stride about the same time, and it might be nice to have a match with one of those guys. I would love if I could end up in one of their books down the line when they talk about their favorite matches.

Jon Robinson: When you look at the Wrestlemania main event between The Rock and John Cena, do you think John Cena can live up to the match? Is he on the same level as Rock?

Mick Foley: Oh sure, yeah. John has been the face of the company for several years. Even if half the audience verbally dislikes him, the other half is still a larger number of fans than just about anybody in WWE history has been able to get. The thing about John is, he’s a workhorse, and he’s got such a great attitude. I’ll tell you, that reaction he gets from the crowd, that would rattle anybody else in the business except him. The fact that he’s able to roll with the punches and not take it personally is a pretty strong testament to the type of guy he is.
